Hi lemonmelon! Welcome back, we missed you and were asking after you recently :)

39+1 for me as well, it feels surreal doesn't it? I still can't quite believe myself and DH will be responsible for a little person soon

Bangton, sorry you have had such a terrible time, hope you are on the mend now and feel free to lurk/post for as long as you like. I'm sure i will be the same once i've had baby!

I don't really get the scan dates are surely going by cycles is more accurate? I've never worked it out until now but my son was overdue by 2 weeks, but according to my dates it was more likely 4 weeks as I was pregnant for 10 months rather than 9.
The thing with cycles is that they are using your LMP and assuming you ovulated on day 14 so unless you have a standard cycle they aren't really that accurate either. Since tracking ovulation I've been up to eleven days after day 14 ovulating so on LMP I could be that far out (and prior to DD1 I had a cycle length variation of three weeks which means that in theory on LMP I could have been three weeks less far than they thought) so scans aren't necessarily any less accurate than LMP. (Though given even IVF babies seem to come any time I don't think that having a very accurate due date is *that* critical as long as they are monitoring you appropriately towards the end to ensure the baby is not left inside you when they need to be out.)

Is it normal to have a lumpy/tight bump constantly at this late stage in pregnancy? I'm guessing lack of room seeing as he/she seems to be quite happy kicking me in the side all day long!

My bump looks really odd sometimes lobey, like really lopsided where his bum is sticking out on one side lol!

Lost another bit of plug earlier, not 'bloody' though so doubt it means anything. Eeek can't believe i am 3rd (well... 3rd/4th/5th depending who out of COMP, lemonmelon and i pop first ;) )

    Hi ladies,

Massive congratulations to Cleofish on the arrival of your little girl and to all the other babies I have missed.

Sorry for the long absence, I found the approach of October a little overwhelming but I'm feeling lots better now and at 39+1 can't believe how close we are to having this baby after the uphill struggle to get here. Everything is going well though and I'm really enjoying the last few weeks of being pregnant. Big thanks to Abi too for giving me the prod I needed to come back here :-)

TeamLowe, so pleased to be seeing you across here :-)

Hope you are all well? xx
Oh thank god your alive!! I've missed you woman! Geeeeeeeze!!:T:rotfl:

My bump seems to get tighter particularly in the evening. I think its the muscles in uterus or tummy tensing as baby moves? Big lump where baby is. Getting lots of downward pressure. Not sure if I keep losing a bit of the plug or if its just a change to discharge. With DS it came out in one go as contractions started and had a streak of blood on it. But I know cervix is open now so that must mean no plug anymore?
Another sweep tomorrow- I'll ask midwife what she thinks if I remember ;)

Tired today, had a break for a couple of hours, Mum played with DS while I had a lovely bath this afternoon. Had some Sanctuary Mum to be smellies given to me at baby shower and used them liberally. Felt like I'd been to the Spa for the day- two hours to myself lol. Getting nervous about labour now- I was so chilled out about it last time and coped well with pain etc. Never got to pushing bit though. Really don't know what is worrying me the most- just feel very apprehensive??

39+3 (lobey it makes me less panicked about being at the top of the list knowing you share the same due date;) )
