Lobey - your comment about waking up and finding you were still pregnant made me chuckle, I suddenly imagined giving birth magically in my sleep
Brunettegirl - I'm sure someone will come to your rescue, does the friend your mum is visiting live very far away? She might just be popping over there and still able to look after your boy if baby does decide to show up.
AFM - mad dreams last night, at one point I was in a mine on a land train and being told off because I didn't have my special charcoal powder and face mask?! Then I was getting in a terrible fisticuffs with a vegan and rubbing a cream filled eccles cake in her hair(?!?!) Quite funny really, but it all seemed like a nightmare in my sleep. I blame it on baby wriggling too much, although I didn't get up in the middle of the night for the first time in awhile last night so that was at least a blessingDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Thought my time was up early, last night. Lots of cramping suddenly turned into painful contractions 3mins apart. Took paracetamol and went to bed to lay down. Luckily they stopped! It freaked me out a bit and hadn't realised I'm not mentally ready just yet. I think losing our baby almost 11 months ago has scared me into not picturing this one unless it really happens, so much so, that now it's practically upon us, I'm now a little bit freaked out. Doesn't help that I've mentally told myself that he will come anytime after 39wks!
Re: pets/comments. My mom kept saying we needed to move home now we were having a third child. We have a 3 bedroom house. We have 2 daughters and this one is apparently a boy so 9yo and little man will share (once he's outgrown our bedroom) and 16yo has the little room. Couldn't put girls in together as 16yo likes to grow her own penicillin etc! Would be far too dangerous. And anyway, I'm the oldest of 4 girls - my parents had a small 3 bed house (we have 3 extra downstairs rooms than I had growing up- none suitable for a bedroom tho) and they didn't move house. Ironically, they've massively extended since we all moved out! Mom hasn't mentioned it since I pointed that out! I have 3 dogs; all rescued one way or another and mom said I shouldn't have taken the last one in April on as he was a bit scatty to begin with (aunt died suddenly and it was either me have him or he go to a dogs home & possibly be put down) as he had a lot of change overnight. He was fine after 2wks. Mom stopped going on about it once I asked her if she would want her beloved dog put into a dogs home if she died suddenly?!
I'm also sick of people telling me I'm huge and "are you sure there's only one in there?". I'm spot on the average line! From behind you can't even see I'm pregnant and despite being at the end of my pregnancy, I've only put in 1st 10lb so bump is the minimum size! Think people just forget how big a baby bump gets. I do find that people think it's ok to throw rude comments at you when you're pregnant - I've been called "fatty" by two different people and I wouldn't mind but they are much bigger than me and aren't pregnant! I wouldn't call them fatty as that's just rude!!! Grr! Think I need chocolate lol.
Kerri - sorry but your dream made me lol. Love the idea of you with a bump rubbing a cream filled Eccles cake into someone's hair in anger! xDD1 June 1997

Hugs Angelmommy that's not very nice of them
I've been freaked out recently by builders up the road wolf-whistling...I want to stand in the street and shout "oi shut up perv I'm blatantly pregnant" just feels really wrong. Haven't had any nasty comments just yet, other than from my sister calling me fatty but we allll know she's just to be ignoredDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I know what you mean Kerri - I've had whistles too and wanted to shout that I am pregnant! Mind you, people have said pregnancy suits me and I seem to look 'radiant' which I'm sure is meant as a compliment.....either that or I usually look carp lol
Congrats on the 28wk mark - woohoo viable! I found that quite a large milestone; like I could relax a little bit once I got to 28wks as there wasn't quite as much pressure on me to be perfect! X

My scar is smaller than I expected, and I've been able to move around a fair bit (good thing as I was up and down all night last night with baby). I think the worst thing is my boobs which are still horribly heavy.
I feel incredibly guilty for not giving BF more of a go, but it was for my own sanity and for baby's health - he needed food and I couldn't provide it! The midwives on the ward were great, no pressure from them either way (not that I could say the same for the BF "consultants" who were useless and judgemental)
I'm recovering well thank you. I expected my scar to be bigger, think because a baby came out I thought it must be a massive wound to heal, but amazed me at how neat it all is. Today has been the 1st day I have been able to get up to stand without holding my tummy, which has been a lovely feeling.
However I think that has been more to do with the fact I have a pretty big bruise going across the middle of my tummy.
Yes my boobs are really heavy as well, it shocked me actually how much they changed especially as I was breast feeding for a few days. I felt bad for stopping but just couldn't do it, we went a whole night without her getting anything and then my hubby drove to Asda at 4am to get formula, hahaha.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -

Just annoying backache, and b hicks
Based on dates I was due the 27th Sept, based on the scan I was due the 23rd Sept and had my little girl on 6th Oct so 13 days over due technically. However when my midwife visited on Wednesday she doesn't believe I was anywhere near 13 days over due, especially cos Scarlett only weighed 6lbs 8oz and also basing it on that over due baby's apparently can have a lot of dry skin due to being inside you longer and Scarlett had none.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Re. Sheets, you can get a pack of 2 moses basket sheets in b&m for £3. They're a bit too big for my moses basket but its not a problem, I just tuck them under more. I've also heard lots of people recommend pillowcases too but I haven't tried that yet.
I've noticed that for the past couple of evenings I've been feeling very off and thought it was labour starting. Bad lower back ache which kind of spreads up my back and then around to my chest. Also getting braxton hicks, period pain and feeling sicky. It's strange as it starts around tea time every night and goes on for a few hours, it's nothing I can time though, more of a constant pain. Ill mention it to my midwife next time I see her but I just assume its my body getting ready.
I'm feeling really uncomfortable too as baby has got a limb firmly wedged in between my ribs and keeps jabbing me which makes me literally jump and yelp in pain, it's not a fun game!
Can't believe how many babies have been popping out!0 -

Hi all
I don't really get the scan dates are surely going by cycles is more accurate? I've never worked it out until now but my son was overdue by 2 weeks, but according to my dates it was more likely 4 weeks as I was pregnant for 10 months rather than 9.
I've been sent home sick from work. Feel dreadful. Every time I cough my stomach hurts. My ribs/ stomach feel like they are bruised. Hoping to kip for a while before collecting my son.
Hope everyone is ok xxTrying to save for a deposit

Dates are all guess-work anyway, some people have longer cycles than the prescribed 28days. Babies come when they are cooked I think
Angelmommy - thanksI would relax if I didn't feel shattered all the time, can't tell if my meds are off or if this little 'un is just using all my spare energy.
I'm off for some cake from gr3ggsit best be open or I shall cry. Cravings have been fairly normal, strawberry pencils 3 for £1 and belgium buns.
