Congrats myangels - beautiful name. Hope all went well.

EPO came in the post today, I've never used it before, can someone tell me how many I should take and if it's best to take them at a particular time of day etc? I'm 36+6. Thank you.

    Hi guys,

Lots of excitment started to loss some of my plug thursday, had really really bad diarrhoea last night (sorry for the tmi) and my waters broke at 8 this morning!
Went to hospital to confirm they had gone, got induction booked for 9 tomorrow, planning on trying to bring labour on myself been having contractions since 1.30pm they did progress to every 5 mins but have slowed down a bit in the last couple of hours.

Really dont want induction, would rather go naturally. Anyone know of anything I can do to speed them up that they have tried and have worked?

And for what its worth I am in love with my tens machine and the boost button!

Keep on your feet cleofish, walk around as much as possible and try to remain relaxed. Laugh lots to release endorphins which help too. (I only know this from our hypnobirthing class)

Good luck Cleo! My midwife said once in labour keep upright, bouncing on a ball or sitting leaning against the back of a straight backed chair. Hope to hear some exciting news tomorrow!
  • Good luck Cleofish - very exciting! X

Rebekah - I was wondering myself as well, her profile says she hasnt been online since 19th September. Looking back shes due on 17th October, hope all is ok!

Me too :( She was TTCing at the same time as me and had a lot more trouble. So kinda got a soft spot for her and want to know whats happening! She she is due the day before my birthday then :) Probably last minute madness in preparing I guess it all went a bit mental for me once I got to 31 weeks.

Congrats lozza and myangels! Goodness we are having a baby boom on here atm :j

Goodluck Cleofish, hope contractions get going for you ;). Like others have said, having a walk around, keeping upright / leaned forward slightly if sitting all supposed to help. Whatever happens, it won't be long til you meet your LO now :D.

Yes I remember her BFP as we are due about the same time. Still fingers crossed no news is good news. Lots of possible reasons for her to have been kept offline for a few weeks.

Someone was asking about baby not engaging other day.. just wanted to say mine never engaged and I went into labour normally right on time so it's not indicative and it's my first baby. Well me and baby Jeff have been moved onto a Ward now whereas I was in a private room. Finding it difficult as oh has had to go home where previously he has been allowed to stay. Unfortunately when I had my c section I was injected in the wrong area and it essentially reached my lungs stopping me breathing and resulting in me having Jeff under ga and assisted breathing. I've had a host of other issues too but I remember thinking I was going to die! It's so rare though and they acted so fast but I've still sadly missed skin to skin and feeding baby by breast. Hoping to go home tomorrow and start a routine but I've had a blood transfusion so I'm not allowed until they retest blood! I hope no one is worried by what I've shared as it's far from the average birth. I guess I wanted to say don't worry about giving birth its hard but goodness the baby is so so so worth it! !!

Good luck cleofish! Like you my waters went first at 9.30 in the morning then i spent all day power walking as i wasn't getting any contractions! Went to the hospital at 6.50 pm to get them to check baby as he was being quiet..... they gave me a sweep as i was only 3cm stood up from that got 4 huge contractions and then needed to push... baby was here in a perfect quick labour 23 minutes from start to finish!!!!! .....shocked wasn'tthe word as this labour was soooo different to any other one i have experienced.
