  • I've heard that the more pregnancies you've had, the less likely baby is to engage until labour? Not 100% sure though!
I've heard the same - I *think* I may have read it in a bounty book once but not sure.
  • Last minute running around checking I've got everything in my bag, plenty of food and stuff to keep me entertained (just in case) although I don't want to take too much with me. Got to be at the hospital at ridiculous o'clock tomorrow morning.
Had a few twinges today so I'm kind of hoping labour might start off naturally overnight. Either way, uberexcited to meet our baby soon!

Eugh another rant about my sister, sorry everyone...

baby due 1st Jan, nephews birthday 2nd Jan (I didn't plan this baby to come in January, the baby wasn't even planned in the first place). So she's booked his birthday party for the 5th and promised him Nanny and Grandad will be there! I swear she's done this on purpose because she can't stand for me to get any attention from my parents. Why tell him they will definitely be there? He's going to be 4 and if they're not there because baby is born and they are coming up on the day she's born he's going to be really disappointed. I really don't know why she has to force them to either divide their attention or choose between the two. If she'd made it a week later the chances are baby will be here and they wouldn't be put in this position. OH won't even talk to me about my family anymore and I'm sick to the teeth of it too :( Just makes me really sad for my daughter that my sister is being like this.

It is sad if she's doing it on purpose kerri but she obviously knows your baby is due around then and i'm sure your parents would come to see your new baby anyhow, even if it was the same day. It will be her who has to comfort her DS of she's promised him something she couldn't be sure of!

Kerri - thats so pathetic of your sister, how old is she?!
Shes the one that will have to comfort her son if your parents cant be there. She sounds like a nightmare!

Had a pregnancy massage earlier and it was heavenly! But all day my bump has been incredibly tight :( hope it relieves itself so I can get some good sleep tonight.
  • kerri your sister sounds very infuriating!
  • Well I have checked and re checked my hospital bag even though it's been packed since 38 week mark, hahaha.

Have to ring the hospital at 7:30 am tomorrow to find out what time they want me to go in. Think I'm going to go with the flow of getting up and ringing, rather than say getting up early, shower, dressed, breakfast, then ring as feel I could do all that and be told to go in at 10 am and then just be waiting around waiting to leave.

We've had a last minute chat about names and now aren't sure about middle names, typical. You definitely over think things too much when it's like this that's for sure.

Have enjoyed meeting my 2 closest friends after they finished work for coffee/cake. The 3 of us always did this after work on a Friday and I've continued to meet them since being on maternity leave so was nice to do one last time before the next time involves taking baby along. Hubby and I then enjoyed a take away tea and I am hoping to get some sleep tonight and not be constantly waking up to check the time.

So until I next update with baby news, have a good weekend all.
