Then one of the neighbour's house alarm went off and couldn't get back to sleep :(

    Hello again ladies :)

I haven't posted recently but I do try to come on and see what's going on with everyone - so many of you have had your bubs (congratulations to all!).

There's some really lovely bump pictures too, I think I've added mine to this post, but as I am often technologically incapable, I will not be surprised if it isn't there! :o

I have just been for my 34 week appointment with the midwife, though apparently my usual midwife is unwell, so I had someone different who didn't hesitate in telling me that my baby is in an "interesting position" - oh great, thanks! Baby has gone from breech at last appointment to 'head down with legs straight up'. We'll see what happens.

Also, has anyone heard of, or have experience with 'kidstart'? I signed up to Emma's diary website yesterday and it signed me up to this too. Is it worthwhile?

    34+1

[I failed at adding the picture, my mum - an mse professional, teehee, is going to try and add it on to this post! :o]

Never put tables and chairs in the same room.
If they congregate together for any length of time, they will inevitably hatch plots against you and your pets.

I'm 41+3 today and measured at 40.5cm which was told baby's weight as being 9lb 6oz  I really hope she is wrong, I can't comprehend having a baby that big. Midwife wasn't concerned as when she plotted the measurement on my chart it's not even on the 90th percentile, she just said well you're tall (5'9) and I'm betting your husband is tall. Which he is, he's 6'2, but still a 9lb 6oz baby, I was thinking 8lb something.
My daughter was a 9lber (on 98th centile) and it didn't cause any problems with the birth - I had a very small tear which didn't need stitches and a labour of just under four hours despite her also starting out back to back.

ETA: Also, I was exactly average for both fundal height and the growth scans with almost the same measurements as for her sister but there was over a pound difference between the two of them so clearly scans and bump measurements aren't that accurate.

Hi everyone. So. .I nearly gave birth on my due date! Waters went at 2pm but he was born yesterday morning 3rd October weighing 6ib 10 by c section. Had a pretty tough time in the end and am stuck in hospital for a while but I'm so in love with him. We called him baby Jefferson (jeff) laird :D
Congratulations! Sorry you had a tough time - I hope you have a good recovery and that you are home soon.

Congrats to all the new births :D

I'm quite worried about little man in there, his head is still not engaged and I'm 38 weeks on Monday! Next Midwife appointment is Tuesday so fingers crossed he does something.

Got a builder coming round later to give me a quote on an extension. Hopefully it's not more than £25k or we can't happen :( Really worried though that what I want done will cost £40k+

    Ah well

I hope everyone is having a good pregnancy so far and sleeping ok :)

Congratulations Bangton! I hope you are ok xx

Lovely bumps Vic, Onetree and Fluffy! You all look so neat :) Vic our bumps look very similar! I got an email from boots yesterday saying 'at 32 weeks you might start to waddle when walking' and literally last night I couldn't stop waddling! I was hoping that wouldn't happen for a few more weeks :S

So so so so TIRED I just cannot wait to finish work, although I say that I still need to pop into town, collect my son, cook dinner, bathe and put my son to bed.... *cries*

I really hope once DH is home he will be full of energy for some room shifting, I NEED to get this baby's room sorted. I am itching to move it all around but if I try lift anything I end up in agony so really he needs to do it!

    Hope everyone is ok xx

Thanks poppy! It's just so much of a waiting game, i wish there was some way of knowing when things will happen lol.

Ugh I know! I am sooo keen to meet my little one now, I've never been very patient! Knowing it could be another 2-4 weeks is a bit frustrating!!

Just wanted to say don't worry, as I mentioned earlier my MW told me some simply don't engage until labour. Apparently the contractions force the head down into the pelvis. So it doesn't mean nothing's going to happen. I know the feeling tho, I'll be 38 weeks on Monday too, and my next appointment will be next monday at 39 weeks, so I'm furiously bouncing on my ball in the meantime! :)

Yeah I know that, but the 2 girls were engaged at least 2/5ths from 35 weeks  I can see this being a stubborn little man in life! :rotfl:

I've heard that the more pregnancies you've had, the less likely baby is to engage until labour? Not 100% sure though!

Was woken up at 6am by more period pains, a lot more painful this time but more of a constant pain than coming in waves. Hopefully things are getting ready in there! :)
