Locky I got mine from Holland and Barrett. I quite like it, but I love herbal/fruit tea anyway. It's just like any other fruit tea, but it helps if you stew it for a while so the flavour is stronger and some people add sugar /honey to help the taste.0

Same here, I also get it from H&B and don't mind the taste at all but then also do drink herbal and fruit tea normally.....
Locky You can get a box of 20 bags for £1 I think still at the mo so if you don't like it it's not breaking the bank. Alternatively you could try the capsules? Also from Holland and Barrett. HTH.First baby due October 2013 :j0 -
Hi chick. I'm fine pregnancy related thanks. Wish this sore throat would do one now! Bulk bought soothers as the ingredients suggest they are actually just sweets! How are you doing?
We picked that pram as it was just all so easy to fit together and figured that if it lasts for the two year guarantee, then we're happy. We're very lucky that my sister has a little boy and she has passed on cot, Moses basket, etc. to us. Just got to go through all the clothes and see what else we need! Are you all ready? X
Sorry to hear you are sufferinghave you tried a hot honey and lemon drink? Not the nicest taste but always seems to make me feel better. Hope you are better soon xx I am good thanks, spd is getting worse so some days I am struggling to walk! I am making the most of DH helping around the house though!
That's good about your sister having a boy also! We have got most things from my son so its just seeing what can be reused and what bits to buy. There's still a few things but mainly for hospital bags for me and baby now, although I wont think about that until I am off work in 5 weeks time! I need to go through washing all of the clothes we have soon and just working out the last few items we've forgotten! Time is going very quickly though I keep having a mini panic thinking 'am I really ready for this?!' I am hoping to start a few sewing projects when I am off work like dribble bibs/ lining curtains etc so will keep myself busy! xx
Re: Deodorants I have no idea if they are safe or not but I found a few months ago I started getting irritated by most of them so switched to this; https://www.lush.co.uk/product/5823/The-Greeench-Deodorant-Powder I found it much nicer and lush stuff tends to be more natural. Not the cheapest but lasts ages!
Big Zippy: I was disappointed by the lack of washable nappies at the show. I was hoping for some bargain Totsbots but they weren't at the show!
Thanks Kerri will have a look x
Don't be silly BabaMoose I didn't think the show was that amazing either, a few good buys but not that many. The freebies were pretty crap and very few of them! It was more pushy sales people trying to tell me I needed about 20 bibs a day and that undoing/ doing up poppers on a sleepsuit would upset my baby so I need to buy a zip suit?! Erm I've done this before I think I know roughly how many bibs I need (and that zip suits aren't the best idea on a wriggly newborn!) I think for someone looking at prams/ nursery furniture. trying out carriers etc it would be great though. Plus its near enough to the Trafford Centre!! xTrying to save for a deposit
4000/ 10000 saved so far..0 -
Brunettegirl re: baby engaging, I asked my midwife. Do you have a 38 week appointment coming up? Mine was 4/5 engaged at 34 weeks then just last week has moved down to 3/5 engaged. Your midwife should be able to tell you where you are up to. I know how you feel about being fed up. I go through phases of that then panic that I'm not ready!!
Sadly I have a hopeless midwife who I haven't managed to get hold of since 16 weeks, so no appointment due. I have tried more recently to call but still no answer/reply
I bought Red raspberry leaf tea from a health food shop think the brand is NHM, last time Holland and barrett and I think boots had some, but remember to check that it has the extract in, clipper teas have something called raspberry tea, but its not the real deal! personally I think the stuff is disgusting I tend to make shots of tea, so very strong but not too much water, nice and strong and down it like medicine!I need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:0 -
I got a little demonstration of the nappy that was there but £15 for a single nappy didn't make me bounce, but I think that is about standard for buying from new. They were cute designs too0

Have you not seen a midwife since 16 weeks then?! Or have you been seeing a doctor instead? If not then that's a ridiculous level of care and you should definitely be complaining!0 -

Nope not seen m/w since 16 weeks, I saw a dr at about 30 weeks about a non related pregnancy problem and she took blood pressure ect ect.
I have no idea who to complain too to be honest, I did wonder if I would slip through the net as I changed to m/w not attached to my gp, so she comes from another area, (had a mmc last year at 20 weeks, had to deliver ect was handled shockingly, so wanted a clean slate as it were and new people to deal with, didn't want constant reminders) must make it harder I guess, not sure. with my first pregnancy we used to get letters telling us when our app was, never had any with this one.
Not long left though so not much they can do for me now!I need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:0 -

Is your new midwife not attached to somewhere? Maybe ring there and speak to reception and let them know what's happened. Your right, you are very near the end now but it's important to be getting your BP/urine etc checked, especially at this stage. I don't mean that in a lecturing way at all, just i wouldn't feel comfortable not having had any checks for the last 24 weeks.
I hope you manage to get it sorted0
