    Congrats Ani :D

Last day of work for me tomorrow, going to be very weird but I have lots of jobs planned for the next week (including my tax return which is something to look forward to :p ) so I'm hoping I'll adjust to not going to work easy enough. 34+5.

    Congratulations welshcosmic and ani9i77 :)

So DS was collected by my mum this afternoon so I could have a rest, absolutely shattered. So was he but would not have a sleep so something is bothering him. Keeps touching his ear and has complained of a sore tummy so probably back teeth. (docs checked his ear last week- not infected)
Went back to bed for a nap then got up to get showered and dressed before collecting him and felt the need to cry. Then phone went and it was DH saying he's having to work late again, he is also sleep deprived so hate that he won't be home til after 8pm. And also means no help with DS before bed- 3rd time this week he won't see him. So then I was nearly crying. Rang mum to check all ok and say I'd be half an hour and she said she'd have him til tomorrow. So relieved I was whinging as I said thanks.

Am I the only one who is in no rush for baby to come yet? Really don't feel ready and unlike with DS who was a big baby I don't feel particularly uncomfortable. And got sweeps twice a week from Tuesday until due date so I really need to get sorted this weekend. Cannot get my head around having a baby in a matter of days

Just to update decided on Michael James, Michael after my Dad and James after my OH's grandads middle name (his first name is Derek so I was abit against that lol)

I told my Dad it was a toss up of Michael or Connor and I got about 4 texts of him in a row which for my Dad is alot as usally its one word text answars lol... :)

Kayalana thats a lovely name, although I am biased since my husbands name is Michael James too :) hehe

Dida - she is absolutely beautiful! glad everythings going well :) ive only got 5 weeks to go at max now since theyll not let me go over date with having GD (diet controlled only with only 1 high reading) at least i know the end is in sight!
cant believe your wee one is already 3 months old! where is the time going!

Toothfairy - congrats on getting to full term :) yay!

ani9i77 - congrats on your teeny baby and wishing you a swift recovery after your c section !

fluffysox - I'm the same with not been ready for baby. Sometimes I want to meet him so much and I'm so excited but then something will happen and I'll think I am not ready. I don't feel at all uncomfortable - have the odd problem bending and a real issue with peeing all the time but none of it is enough to make me will him out! I want him to stay till due date (next Wednesday) so my garden can be finished!! Even then I'd cope if I went over although I don't want any sweeps. Do I have to? Well I suppose I don't HAVE to do anything but why do people have them? :o

It will be lovely to have him here though. All the things I have bought for him and they feel like just random things without a purpose.

I think reasons include: being fed up of being pregnant, believing that the baby needs to be born by a certain date, hoping a sweep will enable them to avoid induction or just going along with whatever is offered.
  • Bangton, you don't have to have them at all. Just tell your midwife your happy to let nature take it's course if you are offered one? Hoping I wont get to that stage but not sure if I would have one either. They can only do it if your cervix is 'favourable', in which case surely you would go into labour soon anyhow...?
