IhateDida- is it really 3 months already :0
    She is absolutely gorgeous!

Where has the time gone, got first sweep on Tuesday- so not ready for baby yet!!!! Hospital bags still a work in progress, not got moses basket or pram out yet

Went to pick up Emmas diary packs (all 3) at Argos today. They had the Fisher Price seahorse for £10.99 (usually £17) and I have giftcards so really cost me nothing. Been putting off buying one incase anyone asked what we would like. DS was given one when he was a day old and it really helped soothe him (or me??) when he was tiny. Needed a new one for new baby because it had been well and truly loved (we named him Slobadon cos DS used to chew on his nose)
The Emmas Diary packs all had Aldi newborn nappies and wipes in them. Also got some Johnsons wipes, shampoo and baby oil and some samples of breakfast cereal. 20 nappies in all- quite impressed even if it was a bit repetitive.

Urrggh DS woke me up at 4:30am "want Mummy" took longer than usual to convince him to go back to sleep. Tiredness literally had me gagging- nausea. Finally back in bed thank goodness. Really tired and feeling unwell now but i'm wide awake :(

  • Fluffy sox - our boots & Argos never have any stock of the freebie packs - so annoying.

Kayalana - Congratulations!! What a lovely surprise.

TTC40 - great news, so pleased for you.

AFM - still have no name for little man. Need to pull our finger out and start seriously looking again. There's a name we do both like but it seems everyone is choosing it and we quite like slightly unusual names so are not convinced. Six more working days until I finish work (37+1) - can't wait; I'm exhausted!

  • Hi everyone,
Nothing ended up happening yesterday, was up again at 6am with temperature and bright red checks, phoned labour ward just to check as I had 2 more bouts of a dicky tummy but they just advised to see gp ( my gp is rubbish) so I just sat it out, felt a lot better in the afternoon though after a sleep.

Still having off and on crampy pain, not regular like I would imagine contractions to be like, bouncing on my ball last night hoping to start things off, baby is moving lots, really hurting me actually and you can see lumps coming out of my tummy, still feel they are a bit like the alien chest buster from the film though and freaks me out. :)

So uncomfortable here, again little sleep, I think baby must have moved down, constant need to go to toilet but nothing there and definitely a woddle going on, plus I noticed first stretch marks yesterday, nothing until now then wham just appears overnight! Can you tell im feeling sorry for myself this morning? :(

Kayalana- lovely name and I bet your dad felt really special knowing your going to be using his name, we plan on using my late grans name as a middle name, no one knows yet but I think my mum will be really touched.

Toothfairy - congrats on getting to 37, full term both an exciting and scary time, I couldnt believe how quickly the last end of my pregnancy has gone from about 20 weeks, it dragged at the beginning to 12 weeks and have a feeling its going to drag now till little one is out.

Ttc40- Good news that your placenta has moved and they wont need to intervene either.

  • Hi all...

Our little boy was born on Monday morning at 5:27 weighing 8lb 11oz!!!

Epidural was only 50%, was cut a lot and ventouse was needed... But I was in that much pain I had no idea what was going on!!! Came home Tuesday night!!!

He is gorgeous and worth all the pain and lack of sleep... Currently known as 'baby'!!!!

    Lots of luck to everyone!!!!
