Congratulations Helen
Labour vibes to nikki & bride2be, my sister went shopping when her early labour started, came home for lunch then went back out to m0thercare, seemed to work for her as she pushed him out quite quickly that evening.
Well I was up the out-of-hours doctors last night after calling 111 with suspected UTI. Doctor has put me on antibiotics, I'm not happy about taking them but safer than a kidney infection I guess. I did try 3 days of necking pints of water, waiting an hour (longest hour in the word) but didn't helpespecially not helped by the 2hr journey back from the office in Cardiff yesterday to Bristol as had to stop at Magor services due to a high priority issue with one of my customers

Hi everyone,
Wow lots going on this morning, good luck to everyone and hopefuly we will hear of your little ones soon!
Afm, we have finally moved in, only had internet back last night so havent been able to catch up and post till today.
Went for a scan last tuesday, baby looks good and good fluid level again, its on the low side but still staying in the normal range so im off twice weekly monitoring and weekly scans which was a pain going back and for the hospital. So im just going to be having my growth scans now, havent got to go now for another 2 weeks, feels like a real treat to have some time off from hospital! How sad is that?
Cant believe im going to be 37 weeks this weekend, very scary but the last few months have gone so so quick. I dont think baby has moved into position yet as every night time she sems to be squashed right under my ribs,
when do they move down? From the scans shes been in a head down position but im not sure when she will move down properly.0 -
congrats Helen, im having a bit of a rough time of it with my induction, been contracting all night on the 24 hr propess but still no progress, keeping fingers crossed for something more to happen today but if nothing by tomorrow morning then ill be moving either onto the drip or c section, really not sure which to go for. I don't want to stress baby out on the drip just to be forced into c section anyway but at the same time im worried of rushing into a c sectionStarted comping again....Oct wins already!:£250 philosophy goody bag, £50 itunes voucher, £30 amazon voucher.....why did i ever stop!0

Jessi good luck.... Fingers crossed for you that ur bundle is here soon!!!
I am hoping my contractions start today or tomorrow... As I think the same will happen with my induction on Sunday... If baby doesn't want to come it won't !!!
I rented my tens machine off the Internet. Googled it and found one site... The machine looks good and all clean and tidy!!! Some sites vary but the one I got is sent 3 weeks before due date and you have it for another 7 weeks, so 10 weeks in total!!!!0 -
Good luck jessimacalucy, nikki and bride2be!!
Congratulations Helen!!

I wasn't going to bother with one but then we discussed them in antenatal class and I came round to the idea.
I found them cheaper to rent online than on the high street. I googled it and went with babytens.net in the end, £20 for 6 weeks. They dispatch it according to your due date so you have it by 37 weeks.
Last day of work for me today woo hoo! :j So maternity leave will officially start on Monday when I'm 36 weeks.:D:D

Well I have massively swollen fingers this morning- finding it difficult to write as the joints are all achey. Is this normal third trimester pregnancy swelling?! Very annoying anyway!0

Cleo I've bought an obi tens from amazon, only £31 which is almost the same to hire. NCT lady recommended it. Hope that helps x0

I ordered one. I went with babycare tens, purely because at my midwife clinic they had a leaflet on it and for piece of mine I thought it was best to go with a company that they were recommending rather than me search everywhere online and knowing me choosing a company that was rubbish or something.
I ordered the Elle tens for £27.50 (£71.50 if I bought it - it's what I had a go with on my antenatal course, so stuck with what I knew) for 6 week hire but I did go for the most expensive one. They go on your due date, usually arriving in the 37th week of your pregnancy.
I left mine a bit late to order as wasn't sure if I wanted one. I ordered mine when I was 38 weeks, but it still arrived in plenty of time. If I go overdue then I just ring them and they extend the hire for a week, which I liked.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Mine is a basic model, but if you want to buy the Elle one continual just mentioned the NCT website had it on sale last week for £55. Might save you money if you're planning more than one (though that seems a very long way off for now lol!)0
