Well I just had my first hypnobirthing session. I now fully understand the muscles of the uterus and how they work, which hormones need to be triggered to aid the labour process and also that when given mixed messages I just get crossDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

For what it's worth - both my previous births were awesome. First I was 3.5hours and second I was less than 2hours. I personally cannot wait until its my turn to start labour - that means my little man is on his way into the world and the feeling you get when you first see your new baby is the best in the world - nothing else comes close. I've had people tell me I must be worried about the birth but I'm truly not; I'll get through it. Yes it does hurt but personally, my appendix out was worse although I did get an infection in it after too! I'm about to start RL tea - didn't with first and did with second so not really sure it made much difference for me but can't do any harm. :-)

Continualdiamond - I am currently reading a book on my Kindle - Ina May Gaskin Guide to Natural Childbirth and I highly recommend. Half of it is full of positive natural birth stories, and the second half details the actual birth process so you know what to expect in detail. Even though I've already given birth, I'm finding it a fascinating read.

I have met Ina May as I was lucky enough to attend a course at The Farm as a student midwife. She was utterly fascinating as were her theories which i put into practice as a midwife.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
You wait twelve days for a twinge and hundreds come at once

However I can't sleep which is proving a pain as I know I will be shattered tomorrowIf you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -

Thank you
I'm lying in bed whilst the OH gets his final 17 minutes of sleep googling what happens if you turn up to an induction in labour?
To be honest I'm ok to type so I'm obviously not exactly far along! A bit of a shove in the right direction to get things moving quicker would be appreciated. Does anyone know if they'd send me home and make me wait?If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -

Im at the midwifes today im hoping all this lower back pain/pelvic pain means baby bean has begun to engage. Braxton hicks are getting more frequent and more painful. No show as yet. Bumps still very high little wigglers still very active.
38+3Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait
