You're right about women saying / doing odd things during and after labour though, no-one will bat an eyelid!0 -
I remember having a very lucid "oh I suppose I'd better take my jeans off" moment when the littlest monster decided to make her 15 minute epic appearance. Whatever I'd packed went to pot completely!
I also did the unorthodox approach to the knickers thing - I just took in all the laundry crisis dregs of the knicker drawer - used them and then used it as an excuse to justify buying brand new stuff for later on. Took a couple of pairs of plain black jogging bottoms in to wear to come home in with a top on the grounds that if I got kept in they were comfy enough to be in the hospital in and were easy to get on and not likely to be uncomfortable whatever size I ended up as coming home - plus I tend to live in them anyway as they don't look like jogging bottoms but look like wide leg black trousers.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
When being checked over by a student midwife, on gas and air, I said "say what you see" as she put her hand up me!!!! I thought I was hilarious! Clearly she hasn't seen catchphrase!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0

Hi all, this thread is moving way too fast for me so I think I'll be mostly reading and not contributing. I look forward to catching up with all the posts.
This is my first pregnancy and I'm very nervous! Baby's due at Christmas and we've decided not to find out the gender.
I hope I've done this right, I've added myself to the latest list I could find.

not really, I have 3 boy cats and they seem to not notice! they try and rest on my bump sometimes. I have to push them off if it gets painful. Other times its very cute as I love the idea of baby listening to them purring next to bump. I love the sound of a cat's purr - it's the sound of utter bliss.0 -

My mum's dog snuggles my stomach a lot more since being pregnant, and has been even more protective than usual, so I'd say yes.0 -
Morning all. Having a decidedly meh day, staying in bed with DVDs I think. Went out for tea last night and then was up all night with a dodgy tummy. Don't know if it was the food or perhaps the start of something. When I wasn't in the bathroom, I was being wakened by leg cramps. So I'm shattered today, pelvic pain is bad too. So fed up, really hoping baby comes soon.
Sorry for moaning, I'm home alone and the dog is fed up listening!

Eta: my dog likes to rub his head on my bump! He's not too happy just now as I can't walk him as much as he is used to, so is acting like a stroppy toddler - won't do what he's told, very clingy and wants to sit on the sofa with me (he's a BIG black lab, so no chance he gets to sit on me!).0
