Re: visitors I know it's sounds silly but as I suffered such bad PND last time I'm trying to minimise potential triggers. I felt so overwhelmed with visitors especially certain interfering inlaws who kept telling me everything I was doing wrong. That along with feeding issues/ colic/ bad birth experience all added to my depression. I'm determined this time to try avoid putting too much pressure on myself and just enjoying my family x that's just my reasons though, I completely respect others wishes
Hugs Abis I had a UTI several weeks ago, rarely get them but it made me feel awful xx
Thanks for link, guess I am really lucky as my Mum is least interferring person in world and my MIL fell out with her MIL over my OH when he was a baby and they/them havn't spoken to her since...so MIL refuses to be seen as interferring although she does make 'helpful comments' once in a while but tbf she has been a life saver and I don't grate her for it as shes alot less laid back then me.

So far I am quite happy with them but I realised after spending £120ish on first AAT module (their are 5 modules to the first level 2) that you could just buy the book for £20 and still take the exam with them. (Their are 3 books per course but again, you only need the main 1 but the 2nd one is quite handy, wouldn't bother with the little study book but the 2nd one is like half mock exam half questions so worth it think this is about £16 but u'd manage without it)
By not buying the actal course you don't get some of the perks like they have a few mock exams you can do online... but to be honest at level 2 esp its nothing you won't miss.
Tbh I am planning on doing all 5 module tests at same time - hence why I havn't had an update since May to my sig. (tests are £50 each or something like £210 for them all)
If your really thinking about doing it I'd suggest buying the first two books and seeing how you get on and check your local area for the nearest test center...thats actally the major +++ with them is they are all over England so its really easy to book a test with them where as you go to ICS you have to ring up schools etc looking for a place to sit your exam...
My OH fixed it btw!Not really sure what he did but its working!

With regards visitors, my parents live in Northern Ireland, in-laws in Somerset (we are in Scotland). So should have no problems with people turning up unannounced! My sister is the only relative close by.

Surprisingly I have managed to get parked easily the last twice I have visited the hospital. They stopped staff parking in the main car park which may be why.
I have a £4 nightie from Primark for the labour and short pjs for afterwards as the maternity ward is always roasting.
Had my 39 week appointment and the baby is4/5s engaged. Booked in for a membrane sweep on Thursday if ive not gone by then. BP was high but I have had a stressful day!!0 -

If I get my water birth then I shall be naked!!! Can't be fussing with bikinis and tops and things, doubt I'll care who sees what after being prodded and poked anyway.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Thanks for that, that's really helpfuldo they provide any actual tuition? That's interesting about just buying books/ doing the exams! I've completed level 2 but looking to do level 3. I did level 2 through college I'm just not sure I could commit to that while heavily pregnant/ with a newborn. But at the same time feel I could do with tuition if needed/ a tutor to prod me to carry on every now and again!
For labour I had a cheap nightie. I had hoped for a water birth but glad I packed a nightie just incase as I ended up stuck in a bed with monitors etc. reminds me I could do with popping to primark for big pants!!Trying to save for a deposit

Tbh with the at home course I'm not sure - I didn't think they did (and have never tried to use it) but when I log in now they have changed it round and it does say 'contact tutor' but I don't remember their being any mention of this before...
They do offer class room courses / online videos but they are alot more expensive obvouisly and don't have any experience with that side. Sorry I couldn't be more help.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
Missed a few posts and as always there is loads I want to comment on and will now probably forget!!
Miffymoo - thanks sweetie. I'm due 2nd October - much appreciated. I'm crap with this forum!!
Abis - I can only imagine how painful it is. I don't have a UTI but sometimes the weight of baby makes me have a sharp pain and that's awful in itself so I can only empathise with you. Best wishes that you'll feel better soon!
TTC40 - That's great news! Hopefully you can have the labour you want now although it all sounds a bit confusing for you. Getting used to one thing and having it turn on it's head.
KScarlett - The BF thing doesn't sound daft at all. I was scared/still am to tell my midwife how I felt. I mean if I think to deeply about it I sometimes feel a bit sick at the thought of lactating! Also, and this really may be selfish, I'd still have to avoid certain things - medicines, alcohol, limiting caffeine etc. None of which I'm fussed for anyway but I would like to let go a little bit! We'll see what happens!
Angelmummy - what a pain. All I can say is don't let it get you down. You might have to tell your mum that you'd like to share the news yourself or something and ask her to stay quiet. I'll never understand why some can't respect that anyway! Big hugs hun!
I've been babysitting for my niece and nephew today. The brother whose children they are would do anything really for anyone so I felt I must and they were good as gold to be fair. My own fault but I've been so busy doing things everyday that as soon as I was in a house with very little to do I went sleepy and couldn't be bothered...but had to be!
Darling OH has painted our new fitted wardrobes even after a long day at work. Shame they need another coat but I'm chuffed with him for just getting on with things.
Toothfairy - I bought 2 nighties in Sainsburys £8 each, washed them and packed them in hospital bag but now I wish I hadn't bothered. My OH has lots of old tshirts as he lost some weight last year which I've swiped and wear for bed and I'd rather just take one of those as it smells like home and is comfy. So I think I'll swap and do that instead0
