Had a really bad day today spent most of it crying for no apparent reason! Anyone else had this? I'm fed up i'm getting braxton hicks all the time, feel sick, bad back yet nothing develops! Its been a week like this now and im sick of it!
Big hugs :( Have you tried to go for a long walk somewhere nice? or a hot shower for your back? I'm sure it's just baby moving into position and you'll get ot meet them very soon xx

I suppose I should say 'hi' really as I'm officially 24 weeks today :j It all still feels slightly surreal - the time seems to be moving so quickly, I feel as though I only found out a couple of days ago but I now have a MASSIVE bump and a very, ahem, active baby

We're expecting a little girl (our first) and each time I think we've come to a full realisation that WE are going to have A BABY either me or DH will have a wobble :rotfl: This is a planned and very much wanted LO but it hasn't stopped the anxiety or the OMG-what-have-we-done moments, especially as I've had quite a difficult pregnancy with hyperemesis and hypermobility issues.
  • Congratulations amyloofoo! :)

Thanks ladies, stupid hormones all over the place!

Poor dh and dd have had a hard time today! Lol x
Still here..... but working on that!

I have posted this before, but as I have had a trip there today, thought I would post again.

At this retail park, the Mothercare/ ELC is now an outlet store - think it's the only one in the UK.

It's in Rotherham, 5 minutes from the M1/ Meadowhall. On the retail park there is also a M&P & Kiddicare (and many other stores).

The Mothercare is massive & there are some great savings. Loads of clothes, most half price (kids & babies). Cots, prams, car seats, bedding, chairs. In summary, everything that Mothercare sell. Even the 'big stuff' is about a third off & there's plenty of things at more than half off.

IMO it's worth a trip from a distance - but would welcome feedback from others if they think it is worth travelling to.

I went to the M&P outlet in Huddersfield & TBH I didn't think much to it - good if you wanted something specific i.e. travel system. The Mothercare Outlet has wider appeal.

I appreciate it's not useful if you are not within reasonable travel!
  • Toothfairy I believe we are maternity leave buddies as well as due date buddies. Totally with you on looking forward to finishing (although I'm worried I'm going to get emotional on my last day as I've been there 13 years). I'm exhausted, not sleeping and one of my line managers isn't being very helpful. It probably doesn't help that I have developed a stinking cold. Oh well - ten working days left!

Hope everyone is feeling well this Saturday

    Great to see you here!

Totally understand the wobble thing. I feel exactly like that too - I'm sure it's normal. Keep thinking how different life will be & how we will adapt, whether we are too old or how we will cope.

Been on a speed awareness course this afternoon :(. Not the best way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

    Welcome amy and lily!

Yes COMP, seems we are mat leave buddies as well. I'm not sleeping great either between having to turn over 100 times a night to get comfy, heartburn and needing to wee lol. Some nights are better than others. Not sure if baby has moved downwards a bit as heartburn hasn't been as bad as it was and not feeling he is as high up into my ribs?

    Tmi warning....

Help, I've just noticed my boobs are leaking and I have no idea whether I should do anything or just get some breast pads? I've still got 14-19w left, will they do this for all that time? I wasn't expecting it to happen until after baby arrived
