Is it just me who finds it really awkward buying alcohol!? I always feel the need to explain that it's not for me.
Was in asda buying a bottle of southern comfort for my brother for his birthday and felt like everybody would think it was for me.0 -

Then this afternoon I did my bump photo shoot that I won. That was fantastic, can't beat having your hair and make up done, especially with having my hair all curled and false eyelashes put on. I took along some props, a teddy bear, red flower, baby booties, baby hat, two scan photos and a little red sign that said 'love' that I have on a shelf next to our wedding photo.
Wore a blue dress with leggings and then jeans with a purple top. Photographer was great, I went with all her suggestions. Now just to wait to see what they look like.
This will be my last bit of pampering before baby arrives so when I got home I took plenty of self portrait photos on my phone, hahaha.
Hope everyone is well.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it... We want pics when you get them! Jealous! XDS born November 2013 :smileyhea0 -

I havent actually bought any since being pregnant, but I bought OH some energy drinks a few weeks back and the woman who served me started giving me a lecture saying I shouldn't be drinking them when pregnant. Needless to say she was politely told to mind her own business :rotfl:Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

Yes, I bought a selection of ales and crate of beer for DH's birthday last pregnancy. I was 7 months so obviously pregnant and in work clothes (smart). The man in Sainsbury's rang the bell for supervisor to check my age. I was mortified- 31 year old teacher- felt like a naughty schoolgirl, underage boozing gym-slip mum lol.2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

Mine has been buying painkillers. Hubby has needed them for a bad back and then a sore toe. We actually ended up at minor injuries unit at our hospital for his toe it was causing him that much pain.
So of course I've been getting paracetamol and ibuprofen for him. As I've gone through self serve check outs of course I have to get the okay to be allowed to buy them but then I've had two women feel the need to tell me I can't take ibuprofen whilst I am pregnant.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
My section is booked for Tuesday too
been for my preop today apparently I'm booked in to go to theatre first so at least wont be waiting round all day. I have to say though I am terrified
I had a bit of a melt down earlier started with just feeling upset ended up with me sobbing
I've never had an operation before I think this and being hormonal just made me a mess. I've calmed down now but I have a headache now from crying.
I'm so tired tooxxxx
I had a caesarean with dd, have to go in for pre-assment monday. What did they do all together? I was already in hospital with dd so i didnt have one, just the bits theyd already done.
Dont worry about it, i remember walking to the theatre thinking well baby has to get out some how, it cant stay there forever, and somehow that kept me calm.
Been on a massive walk tonight and am having braxton hicks about every ten mins. They dont hurt but my belly is solid! Really odd sensation, and baby is going wild between them!Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Ooh exciting! I'm starting to struggle a bit. Glad I'm on 'light' duties! Been to see doc today who tells me I've pulled a muscle in my back. It feels marginally better today. It was excruciating last night. X
Sorry to hear about your backhope it improves soon. You'll have to have a relaxing weekend! X we are going for our second 4D scan this weekend, can't wait!

Bella2121 I guess there's nothing that can be said that will make you feel any better but big hugs. You'll be fine .. actually you'll probably feel a whole host better when the day comes. I did when I had an op last year. .it's kind of like it has to be done so you just do it. Take care and let us know when baby gets here.0

Congratulations JustOneMorePairOfShoes! Beautiful name too.
I had pethidine with both my girls and it was awesome! I didn't feel sick at all with it although I think you should check with your hospital as was told by midwife that our pethidine has an anti sickness bit in with it. I couldn't really feel a thing until time to push but the pain from contractions beforehand was so bad (was getting 2-3 on top of each other) that I was almost passing out! I dilate quickly but neither baby was drowsy.
I tried the entonox years ago and that personally made me feel sick a whole day after giving birth but I think times have changed since then and may give it a try this time as would like to try birthing pool.
20 more working days (4wks!) then 3wks leave and maternity starts day after I'm due. Can't wait - I'm exhausted! Still no cover for me yet though and I'm worrying as I am the only one that does my job and I have a set of spreadsheets that will blow someone's mind lol. People keep telling me its not my problem but I do plan on coming back to work and don't want to have to fix someone's mess.
