Glad you are feeling better. I know I needed a couple of days for the news to sink in & adjust.
I'm still feeling fine. Have worked a few days at home & then back in the office yesterday, today, tomorrow. Have slowed down alot but must admit I can't go from my 'normal' to total rest. I am heading in the right direction though & there's lots I would have normally done which I haven't done.
Was meant to be taking my god children to the Warner Brothers Harry Potter tour this weekend - gutted to be missing it & one of them (age 8) face timed me the other day to say she was sad I wasn't going with them.
I found dizzi's photos reassuring too. One of my colleagues had her son at 32 weeks and he was over 5lb. I know they are all different but it's good to see happy news if you do go early.
Watched the Midwife programme the other night. Thought it was quite informative. OH also watched it (his choice) & it was useful for him to see what went on in a c section (as he has no idea). Also good to see a Mum 5 years older than me (& not so good to see a couple of Mums 26 years younger!)
32+2
What's the midwife programme, and when is it on? I'm watching all things baby at the mo, watched special deliveries last night which is premature/crisis labours, maybe not the best thing to watch at the mo but couldn't stop myself!0 -
Glad you're feeling a bit better Cleo. I'm amazed that some babies are over 5lbs at 32 weeks, the weight of some babies at full term! Sounds very positive if you've been having the steroid injections too.
I'm still having the spasms but they don't last as long, maybe 5-10 mins which I can manage, just get panicky not being able to breathe!
Hope the spasms ease off soon x
They measured my baby at 5lb last week. and I was 37 weeks
Dd was over 8lb born.
38+2Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Carpets went in yesterday, nursery furniture should be being delivered today
Glad to hear the nhs classes are useful we go end of September.

Thanks everyone, I haven't asked yet, have my 34 week app next week so was going to wait til then. I'm sure it's connected to me being a total sloth at the moment and having terrible posture at work! Saying that though I'm still having more spotting and I'm slightly concerned I've been losing my plug since I went to the hospital two weeks ago! But the midwife in the labour ward said unless it was a really vibrant red not to bother calling them back!0

Hope you're getting on OK ruthsaver, sorry I went a bit quiet, was busy giving birth to my little man!!!:p
He arrived Tuesday morning weighing 7lb 11oz, everything was really straightforward, and we we're home less than 4 hours afterwards!!! Scary stuff!! Just getting used to juggling two and establishing his feeding in amongst the visitors!! :-)
Hope I've not ,missed anyone else's babas, big hugs coming your way Cleo xx0 -

Congratulations :T 4 hours is great, I really hope I can be out quickly like you.
Oh the visitors, I love people visiting if I'm prepared and I've cleaned, but dreading them just turning up after birth....
 I'm number 4!!!! Can we have some queue jumpers please, I'm not ready.....Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Congrats sittingonastar!
Thanks cleofish, glad you are feeling a bit better too.
Our nhs antenatal classes were a bit rubbish, I only went for two I think and didn't bother the rest. Ours were split into twice a week for 4 weeks - the Wed class was about pain relief, breastfeeding, etc and the Thu one was more physio. I never went to any physio classes as they started at 9.30am and the only bus to get me there in time got me there at 8.40! The only good bit about the other classes was the tour of the maternity unit and labour suite. Anything else was stuff already covered by midwife at antenatal appointments. Glad to hear there are some good ones out there though.
Asf, little bean still isn't terribly active, but she is moving a little so trying not to worry as she was fine at hospital last night. Did anyone else notice a change in movement about 37 weeks (I'm 37 weeks tomorrow)? Midwife said last night as long as I'm feeling 10-15 movements a day that's fine, I'm feeling that and more, but I'm used to her moving ALL the time! Maybe she's just getting a little cramped in there just now.0 -
Everyone who's had new carpets laid, are you not worried about your waters going on it? Lol :rotfl: I need carpet on the stairs, our bedroom, nursery and girls room so have to wait til after I give birth, so says OH.
DD2's birthday today. I can still remember it like it was yesterday that she was born. What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0
