  • Congrats Yumyums :)

I find bedtime a nightmare some nights trying to get comfortable its not just support its the heat :( I have the fan on and off all night coupled with the toilet trips as my bladder feels like its about to explode for a tiny trickle.
Getting lots of pelvic and back pain. Baby beans still very active as always.

Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait
  • Congrats to all the new mummies! And to Helen on your engagement!

Had a very MSE baby weekend, got some newborn reusable nappies from Freecycle yesterday morning, went to Tesco with my mum in the afternoon and they had packs of sleep suits and hats/gloves etc for £1each donation to a local charity so got about £5 worth, and have just ordered cot bed, mattress and changing unit from Mothercare with their 15% off for the bank holiday! (And MIL has offered to pay for them too!). All in all, a very good weekend (except now have to go clothes shopping with DH, that'll cost more prob!)

I too am struggling with sleep, can't get comfy and I also have ongoing problems with my sinuses, meaning I can't breathe through my nose at times - and can't take my usual medication while pregnant, so that's keeping me awake too. And yes, the simplest of household tasks means I need a rest, complete with tea and biscuit, afterwards!

Can't believe I'm in the top ten now! Sure I was in the twenties just last week!

  • Lol just read this on baby name laws - what are parents thinking wanting to call their children "Anus" and "Number 16 Bus Shelter"??!?

  • Congrats all new mummies and Helen on the engagement.

I'm off for a night out, woo hoo, lol.

2 year wedding anniversary tomorrow and hubby has booked us a night away tonight. We didn't have a honeymoon as such as my parents & sister visited for all of August in 2011 so we'd saved up money to spend travelling time with them so kinda had a honeymoon/holiday before our wedding.

Wouldn't of changed it though as hadn't seen my parents & sister since 2007.

Hubby decided we needed a night away to celebrate our anniversary and also last time we can before it involves organising a baby sitter.

Will be taking my pregnancy pillow though as cannot sleep without it now. Though like a lot of you I do spend a lot of time turning from side/side. I know sleeping on the left is best but baby had other ideas last night and my left side was extremely heavy and very uncomfortable, only when I was on my right did I feel relief but then that made baby move about more on my left side, so either way I couldn't win, hahaha.

Then for some weird reason I have started sneezing more, I don't have a cold and it just comes/goes. I got up last night for the loo, had a bout of the sneezes which then blocked my nose and made it itchy and took forever to clear....Odd

Bangton - I agree. cot blankets are far too big to be used in pram/car seat. I bought one large pink cellular blanket with DD but never used it as we preferred sleeping bags up until 18 months and now she has a duvet.

Yumyums - Congratulations :j Hope you are both doing well.

lao_cat - Sorry to hear your birth wasn't as you had hoped. Can you arrange a debrief with the midwives once things have settled down so you can get your head around it?

Helen - Congratulations on the engagement :j Exciting news! Hope baby stays put until Sep for you. Not long to go now!

TTC40 - have they given you a confirmed date for your c-section?

Angelmommy - I've not had pains like that. Maybe worth a quick call to your midwife to see what she thinks?

Afm, sleep isn't to bad. I can't seem to get to sleep much before about midnight and I get up when my DD wakes up about 8am. But I wake up about 4-5 times in the night trying to get comfortable and I always need to have 1 or 2 pee stops. At least its getting me ready for having a newborn again!

I put DD down for a nap and just picked up all her toys as I couldn't see the living room floor and it completely knackered me out! So not moving away from this sofa for the next hour - hopefully!

No date confirmed Miffy. He has just said 38 weeks.

Next scan & consultant appointment at 34 + 1 so I expect then to be given date to be admitted at 36 weeks for 2 weeks in hospital :(. Not sure if they will give a date for section at that point or after I am admitted.

Spoke to my cousin the other night who is a midwife & in charge of risk management for her hospital. She said to think myself lucky if I get to stay at home until 36 as they usually have women in at 34 at her hospital. Another reason to do as I am told!

Just bought the swing breast pump with the Babies R Us 20% off. £72 after discount.

Now going to do some online bits from Tesco with the Clubcard points double up.

Not to be pedantic but just noticed on the list yumyums is due 28th December but she just had her baby so I think it's meant to be Amyloofoo maybe? Sorry, I never update it but that's because I mess it up if I try to!!! All the genders fall off!

If anyone can update it can you pop me in as 2nd October due date and expecting a boy. It's time I went on the list really! Much much appreciated! : )

butlerhelen - yes yes yes I am soooo utterly knackered after stacking dishwasher!!!

We are getting a crib for baby to sleep in in our bedroom. Have seen lots of bedding sets with bumpers, blanket etc. Are bumpers advised/necessary?
