Congrats sarahevie!!!! Another baby! : )
Toothfairy - Not sure if this will help you in anyway as it depends what your after. I have bought mainly white blankets for baby that we will be using in his cot (it's an oak cot though, probably would have chose a different colour if the cot was white which seems to be the popular choice). Keeping it neutral as well so we can paint blue birds on the walls and have some curtains made without spending an utter bomb trying to match the bedding in.
Cot wise Boots are selling Clair De Lune cellular blankets for about £7 each so I bought 4.
John Lewis have white value ones for £6 (!) so I bought 2.
I have a couple from White Company too that I think were in the sale but not sure how much they were...less than £20 though I'm sure!
I got my fitted cot sheets from Babies R Us and they are lovely and soft but not sure what they cost..maybe £12 for 2.
Bought flat sheets from Mothercare as a thin extra layer if needed - £8.50 for 2 in the sale! They also have 3 for 2 on bedding.
We were given a Moses basket that is cream and wicker so I bought the Bear's Best Friends Moses basket set from Babies R Us - £20 for a coverlet, flat sheet and 2 fitted sheets. On top of that I got a blanket for £5.99 from H&M with little bears on in case he does mess on his sheets.
I bought what I thought were some nice pram blankets from Kiddicare with stars on. Thankfully they were £4 each as they got holes in them after one wash!
Then for hospital, pram, car seat, out and about I bought the blankets they have in Gap at the moment (having a boy so got the aeroplane one) and probably going to get the umbrella one as well! Then I have a monkey one from Next.
I have a farm themed one from a website online that I just cannot remember the name of and lastly one with Elephants on from modern baby online which is grey like our car seat so should tie in!
I should say some of the blankets have been cheap, some not so cheap but I have pretty much had a discount code every time. Sign up to Gap for example and it really won't be long before they send you loads and loads of offers by email. The blankets I got were £17 but I'm sure I had 20% off at the time (sorry I'm vague I've bought lots of things and I always try not to pay full price!)
I really am a sucker for blankets. It's probably been my biggest expense but I've saved/cut back in a lot of other areas and just thought 'sod it' when it came to spending on baby bedding! After all he'll spend a good deal of time asleep!
As I say it may not help if you want something more interesting than white though : )0 -
I still have my baby blankets (22 years old) and they are still as good as new. I always washed them in wool liquid on the wool wash. I'm waiting to use them for my grand children now xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Thanks Bangton! Off to have a browse. I'm the same, very reluctant to pay full price for anything, i suppose that's why we are all on MSE though lol.0

Congrats sarahevie! Two beautiful names. Thanks noangel for the info on the TENS machine. I was a bit confused by the ones on amazon which seemed to be ok for labour but then the same brand would have another especially for labour. If you have time post birth would love to hear any feedback.
Exhausted after a family reunion today, 9 kids running around with cabin fever in the rain... Ready for bed now!0
