  • I'm 35+4 and have an anterior placenta which means I don't always feel baby's movements.

I was at the hospital early on, like 24 weeks due to not feeling much movement and then it was explained that I won't feel everything due to my placenta.

My baby get's moving early morning and then late evening, very rarely do I feel movements during the day. This morning my baby had hiccups I think as my tummy kept moving constantly in one spot all the time with little flutters.

Thanks Bangton and continual diamond. I think I'll give the labour ward a call if I don't feel much during the day. Have been very overheated the past few days so wonder if that combined with me feeling constantly exhausted is taking its toll on bubba.

Has anyone had a lazy baby post 32 weeks? Mine went through a phase of constant wriggling and yesterday and today only slight shifting movements. It definitely did 10 bursts of movement yesterday but only light ones.

Have tried sugar and ice cold drinks to no avail!

Any noticable reduction in movements should be checked out.

Miffy, Lola is doing well thank you for asking :)

The first night home we had no sleep at all, so that was a baptism of fire, last night was slightly better, so hoping things will be better this evening. Breast feeding has been tough, it was for me last time too, but I'm trying to push on through.

DS has been ok, but he gets very upset when Lola cries and starts yelling too! He is also very clingy to OH at the moment, and not so bothered about me.

I felt really disorientated the last couple of days, but we took DS and baby to the park earlier and feeling a wee bit more together this evening..I did have a cheeky glass of wine too which may have helped ;)

Just want things to settle into a bit of a routine as I am a very routine-driven person!

Got my parents and brother coming over tomorrow to meet lil lady, so that will be nice :)

  • Its my last day in work today... feels strange!!! I dont think its quite sunk in yet, as of 12:30 I will be on Maternity Leave and the baby is due in 2 weeks!!!

We are goin down West Wales for the week when I get home, so have pack my normal stuff and the car seat, hospital bag, Maternity notes, baby bag!!!! OH has invited loads of people down, without telling me first had a right go at him (he does this all the time, usually find out from someone else that they are coming down), after telling him it would be nice if we spent some time together before baby comes!!!! Its alright he said they will going after bank holiday.... then failed to mention his son and friend would be there all week.... argghhh!!!! Cue me bursting in to tears yet again!!!! IDIOT!!!!

Wall stickers not sticking too well to wall!!! The roll got flattened in transit.. so where there are creases, they are coming away!!! May take hairdryer to them to sort them out!!!

  • Lobey, my baby has quiet days and active days (36 weeks today). I mentioned it to my midwife last time, and she said as long as I feel 10-15 movements on a quiet day, not to worry. On an active day, I can feel 10-15 movements in a matter of minutes lol! I've found it goes in cycles, a few quiet days then a few active days. Also if I'm busy I tend not to notice movement so much, and (sorry if tmi) if I get constipated, movements seem less. So if bump has a few quiet days, i try to make sure i have a day of resting. But if you are worried at all, get it checked out.

Nene, yay for the toys r us reduction! I was playing with mine yesterday, attaching the teddies! Can't wait til bump comes to see her in it!

It's not too girly is it? It would be "manly" enough for my little man yeah? :rotfl:

  • Ha ha, no it's not too girly at all - well, we'd have bought it even if we were having a boy/didn't know!

I have an active baby too.

Getting my head around the news from Wednesday - I was tearful on & off yesterday.

Concentrating on getting work stuff concluded/ to a point I can hand over to someone. If I was suddenly sick or had early labour I know things would carry on but my personal ethics mean I want to do all I can for colleagues. Spoke to my boss this morning who had told her boss yesterday. He has questioned why I am not just stopping straight away! I feel happy with my decision though & am taking it easy physically by being at home.

The decorator finished the baby's room yesterday (painting & M&P Jamboree wallpaper) & it looks lovely. No furniture though until 17 Sept. He's doing some other decorating so the house still upside down. He's working the weekend so should be done early next week.

Seems to be lots of sales/ discounts for the bank holiday weekend so good time to shop!

Going to pick up a nursing chair tomorrow which my cousin is giving us which is a bonus.

Over the weekend I want to finish off bits of baby shopping & pack a hospital bag. Hopefully it will all be unnecessarily early but I think my head will be in a better place if I am confident all is done.

Anyway, didn't I say I was working? Shouldn't be posting!

    Have a great weekend.
