We are team yellow and have gone with the "I love sunshine" range from mothercare mainly because I love the clouds and the big fat apple rug!!

COMP - we have been accused of the same thing as we don't even have a spare bedroom for a nursery (our room has a separate attic bit attached upstairs but is hardly separate or long term), no cot up yet, no 4d scan (though we do know the sex) and we are unwilling to share our name ideas! Oh plus we haven't bought silly amounts of anything and also haven't mentioned pregnancy on facebook. But we are SUPER excited between ourselves :)

Been getting cramps and pains all evening, my Mum said its the start of labour but I just expected it to be more obvious? Slept for a couple of hours but awake again now.

Question to all the C-section ladies - I've heard you can ask for the screen to be lowered when they pull out the baby so you can see it being born. Would you? Should I? I'm not particularly squeamish (once had to watch a hip operation as part of a job I was doing) but then again if it's me they're cutting in to maybe I'll feel differently!
As someone else said, you prob wouldn't see well anyway, I couldn't see the scar until swelling went down a few weeks later. Also being cut open does cause your body to go into shock- or at least it did in my experience. Started trembling, nurses said its normal not to worry. I'm not sure being able to see the blood etc would have been helpful. I'm not squeamish at all but I would choose not to see myself being operated on ;)

Could be start of labour (or might not), you'll know if pains get gradually worse and start to get regular. Just see how it goes, have walks/ exercise and rest as normal. In early labour I went to Aldi with Mum and would just stop and lean on trolley if I got a contraction. Didn't go to hospital til the next day when pains were every 3-4 mins, lasting about a minute and are impossible to ignore. Good luck hope your little one is in your arms soon. Don't be anxious, you'll know when its time to ring hospital ;)

Thanks fluffy sox! I'm feeling quite chilled out at the moment, the pains are pretty far apart. Going to havesomething to eat and go back to bed. Might be nothing but if its to im sure it'll get pretty obvious later!!

lozza, I believe you can put some on your pads to soothe the 'area' after birth?

Does anyone know by what stage baby should have turned around into the right position? I feel like I have been getting kicks mostly in the same spot up by my ribs for a few weeks now. Just wondering if its too early for him to be in the right position?

I asked midwife at 31 week appt if she could feel where baby was. Mines head down and has been for quite a few weeks now. Hoping it won't turn!! Maybe ask at your next appointment? I love knowing which bits are which that are poking out/moving around!

Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..

Thanks Hopelass, I am going this morning actually :) I am the same, obviously hope he is in the right position but would like to know from a geeky perspective to so I can identify which bit is what when he kicks.
