Metranil_Vavin wrote: »Bangton - I have seen some lovely bunting that would go in a boys room, in fact I had bright coloured bunting in my DS's room until recently and the only reason I took it down was because he kept pulling it down! you don't have to go down the 'blue' route, I'm not a big fan of all this blue for boys and pink for girls either!
These are the sort of colours I am thinking of for baby girl's bunting as the room is slighly 'shabby chic' with the white painted furniture and Farow and Ball creamy walls:

Ooo I really do like those..I love 'shabby chic'! I need to find said bunting - did you see it online or in a store? So far I've seen blue birds on white hearts and my OH tells me they are still too girly - it's so hard to break away from the blue and pink theme it's just everywhere and so unimaginative!
COMP - that's pretty rude of her to say. I didn't have a 4D scan and haven't put my cot up either! I found out the sex purely to make my life easier too! How absurd. Don't let it bother you though - some people are just over the top.
Hope everyone is feeling ok - I've posted loads since I was off! I'll be a nightmare when maternity leave starts!0 -
That bunting is on ebay hon, or how about something like this with baby's name on it:

It's got so called 'girly' colours in it, but isn't girly at all in my opinion, if you see what I mean!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Thanks for making me feel better and less like an over sensitive hormonal mess! I didn't react to her, but ranted away to my mum after we left
Just over five weeks left at work and my workload is slowly increasing with things that apparently need sorting before I go. Ah well - there's only so much I can do!Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
Hey everyone!
Waited soooo long for my appointment with the midwife today but she said that I'm 2cm dilated and she thinks it could well be a successful sweep so I'm happy about that!
Since I've been home I've been having pretty painful cramps too, not sure whether its labour or just because te midwife was poking around up there tho.
Really can't wait to meet my baby now!

Adding to my list of things we still need to buy, and adding bits for me onto the list - maternity pads etc. Have read the hospital bag list on here - and I wondered what the witch hazel is for that people have mentioned? You can tell this is my first baby I haven't a clue!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

lozza, I believe you can put some on your pads to soothe the 'area' after birth?
Does anyone know by what stage baby should have turned around into the right position? I feel like I have been getting kicks mostly in the same spot up by my ribs for a few weeks now. Just wondering if its too early for him to be in the right position?
