  • Hi ladies, sorry amy i'm nowhere near .

Hugs to everyone thats being picked on :) I had someone shout who ate all the pies the other day at the school! Cheeky woman.

Saw the mw yesterday and baby is breech at the moment, exactly the same position as dd was at dd, so im resigning myself to the fact that i may have to have a caesarean again! Very odd though, and baby may move, i'd not considered that this one may be breech 2!x
Still here..... but working on that!
  • People are funny re pregnancy. I was at the seaside yesterday as hubby gets Thursday and Sunday off work and I'm on summer hols, so off we went.

I felt huge though cos I wore a floaty dress to be comfortable with leggings underneath. It was the right choice as I was comfortable but I caught so many people staring at my bump. The dress is elasticated under the bust and then sits lovely over bump but of course for me at least it just makes me look bigger because it's not a fitted shape.

Where as today in 3/4 trousers and a top I don't feel anywhere near as big.

Another friend of mine has just had to book in for a c-section, baby is breech. I'm at the midwife next week, will be 33+3 then, only at my last appt did she mention that baby's bottom was right in the middle of my tummy, but she never said anymore about it.

Hope everyone has had a nice day. I went out for breaky this morning and then spent this afternoon using material to make into watch straps as I have a lovely watch from next that has a watch strap that couldn't be replaced due to it's style.

It turned out really well, just tie it and then makes the watch different all the time.

    Hi all!
Everything went well at the hospital yesterday, bp still slightly high, protein slightly high, still swollen and can't shift my headache... But I've just to go back on Monday - if I don't laugh at this point I'll cry :rotfl:

Could have cried in primark earlier when they didn't have the throw and cushions I wanted, they've changed all their home stuff, totally gutted! Got everything else I was going for though which is good. Boots have buy one get one half price on pampers nappies at the mo (got my free changing bag too!) Abe buy one get 2 free on huggies wipes - the basic ones with the handprints on the pack are only £1.50 odds for 64 so works out really cheap!

Sorry for all the ladies feeling crappy, most definitely in that category myself at the moment. Can't wait 'till my mum's back and I can go home to my own house, thankfully it's Sunday so we're on the home stretch.

I don't understand this bump judgement! If someone was overweight you wouldn't comment on their size so why a bump which you have no control over?! I'm getting quietly irritated with my dept all referring to me as preggers! So apparently have lost my identity and I'm growing a bruiser!

Am now the proud owner of 20 pre loved bumgenius nappies and 7 tots bots I bout new, so lame how these things become exciting in pregnancy! Can fellow cloth mamas recommend how to wash both of these? I read something online about rinse wash with no suds, then wash with non bio on 40/60, then rinse wash again. Also to wash the new ones 10x before use, have I got this right? Keen to get on with the washing this weekend while there's heat to dry!

Hope you all have fab weekends :)

So with you on that. If I randomly just said someone was fat I'd get blasted! !! I don't need anyone to tell me I'm fat. ..boy am I feeling it. Nothing looks good on me anymore. I was measuring 31cm at 31 weeks other day but 27cm when I went to hospital two days before. Either way its not too bad weight gain for the midwives. ..they are happy! Had a chat with boss today and I'm using all my hols to go early so that brings maternity forward three weeks and I'll be 37 weeks then. Feel happier :D have a good weekend all xx

I use bumgenius, love them, but found I needed to buy new inserts and also boosters when she got older. I use little lamb bamboo boosters.

Use 1/4 of the powder you would normally use. On my washing machine I have a prewash and an extra rinse option, so I do these with the 40 degree cycle. Every month or so, or if she'd been ill, I'd wash them on 60 degrees.

New ones only need washing about 3 times, just to help with absorption. You don't need to dry between washes.

If/When your nappies start to smell, this is usually the build up of powder. You just need to do a strip wash (if you google there are various methods). I use a dishwasher tab. Other people use fairy liquid.

Argh! Scrap other people commenting on your body... My OH just handily asked "what's that purple thing on your tummy?". Turns out there's a little cluster of stretch marks I can't see! I swear they weren't there in the bathroom mirror this morning.

He's now back tracking saying they are "barely visible"... But they must be - he saw them from the other side of the room! None of my friends have stretch marks :( I know it's illogical but I'm really upset.

Has anyone got any ideas for stopping them getting worse? I've got palmers coco butter already :)

I think I've missed some pages... So I am off for a catch up... I did see I'm still at number 17 - 5wks left and I don't seem to be heading down it!

  • oh dear, I'm afraid I'm with everyone with feeling miserable. Big hugs to everyone. I just started feeling funny and dizzy whilst buttering my toast. I feel pretty upset and worried 'cos I don't want to be a pregnant invalid. I want to be able to enjoy the last 9 weeks without feeling so shattered and ill. 31+0
  • helen - try Bio Oil. It is a bit pricey but I find it good. To be honest I think stretch marks are largely a hereditary thing, so if your mum had them there's a chance you will too. They should fade over time though.

I'm stressing out about the logistics of getting to hospital when I go into labour/OH's parents having to get down to us (we're in London, they live in a remote village in the West Midlands) hence we are having to line up a few friends to come over to watch DS when things start happening as it is going to take in-laws at least 3.5 hours to get to us.

Also the car parking at our hospital is extremely limited, so now thinking about a cab instead so phoned our local one just now to check they will take a pregnant woman in labour (some won't).

Also dreading the birth. It's a rollercoaster you can't get off. Daft really as I have done this before, yet feel strangely 'first time' about it all!
