I used to have an expressed bottle ready in the fridge so that OH could take his turn at night feeds, I didn't see why I should be the one getting up all the time!

Like you say though, each to their own.

MY OH is pretty good, and has done a lot of the food prep in recent months as by the end of the day, I'm just too knackered to cook.

He does take a bit of nagging to get moving, but on the whole he's a good egg.

PP - not much I can say except sympathise with all your aches and pains.

My feet have begun regularly puffing up in the evening now, and my lower back is so painful. I find being at work at my desk awful..thank god I only have 4 or 5 working days left.

Not a chance in hell of that happening!

Night feeds in here were fun... OH was woken up by baby.. he then changed them and spent 30-45 minutes trying to wake me up!!!

Just brought my mat leave date forward to Wednesday from Friday. It's too hot my office is 32 degrees.

Slightly nervous now for some reason. I genuinely don't know what I'm going to do without having a routine in my day. I haven't had this much time off before :-/

I kinda don't want it to start because then time might start going faster and it will be over before I know it

Is this advertised anywhere or is it that it just happens on first purchase? I registered the other day for the 3 months free but haven't bought anything yet.

I hovered over the car seat for a while but thought I should make a decision on the travel system first.

It was advertised as part of joining Amazon family. It comes off automatically at the checkout - add the cabriofix to your basket and see if it works when you go to the checkout page.

Having said that, do you have an iphone? If you do, download the Mothercare App and they send you a code for £10 off a £50 spend. 5% quidco onto makes it a better deal than Amazon :)

Cabriofix is a great seat. Buy it (very MSE) then plan your travel system around it!

Edit: Just tried the mothercare method. £58.84 delivered, plus quidco/tcb on top :)

Sorry to hear you're in hospital Clare, feel better soon.

MV- that's horrendous! I absolutely hate them but my house seems to be full of massive spiders!

Feeling a bit down because of DH. He's a complete xbox addict and its at the point where he gets in from work, turns the Xbox on and doesn't speak to me at all some nights. If I say anything he says he won't be dictated to. So I end up in bed on my own most nights till he comes up late, then he's so tired he can't get up when his alarm goes off and I end up wide awake unnecessarily at 5.30am :( To add to this he doesn't help out at all at home, even down to washing up a cup. Just getting really worried now, baby due date is 6 weeks away and I feel like I'm going to be doing it all alone :(

Sorry for the rant but can't talk to anyone in real life!

Strategies I've used to help "train" my husband.
    1. write a list of everything that needs doing every week. Ask him to choose his jobs (or shall I pick for you)
    2. reinforce with a "to do list" (write on your jobs too so they know you're also doing stuff- men are oblivious otherwise)
    3. Make sure he knows you're not happy, computer games stop them noticing anything that isn't on the screen.
    4. Confiscate (hide) power lead / controllers so get can't play until he has taken notice / apologised / done some of the jobs on the list.

Like children and puppies, men need praise when they do something useful and a good telling off (with fave toy taken away) when they are being brats ;)

ouchy..baby is really giving me a hard time this afternoon. Had a nap whist DS had his post-lunch sleep, and now she seems to be wedging her feet right under my ribs :(

Any advice on what may stop her? Would walking about rock her to sleep.
