Why own a dog if you aren't going to walk it?

Your winding yourself up I'm afraid. If you report her to the police for recording your house what do you honestly think will happen?
Do you really think that the police will do anything about it?0 -

What makes you think they won't? Do you really think that you are helping by posting these comments, or are you just trolling?Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j
If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!0 -
Of course the police will do something about it. Do you honestly think it is acceptable for this lady to record sound and pick up everyone's conversation? Who knows how far it can pick sound up from but I certainly believe she can hear conversations in my garden and house which she wouldn't be able to hear without this camera. There's a law against stalking and harassment. I should be able to speak in my own home and garden without her or anyone listening in.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0

In the Neighbourhood watched programme it was either the police, or the team that tried to help with disputes ,that warned the person recording events next door that it was illegal.0

I'm just telling it like it is, believe what you like.
I've worked with people who have been seriously racially harrassed by the neighbours for months on end and nothing is done about it. The Police just say tell the Housing Association and the Housing Association just say tell the Police or we have send them a letter etc.
When the person phoned the police, they never even bothered to come out.The person was getting threatened, abused, the door kicked, called a prostitute, race names etc. The police response was zilch.
Also its the O.Ps word against the neighbours who will turn it round and say no they havent been recording, its the OP thats causing trouble reporting them right left and centre etc. Other neighbours will not want to get involved and will not support OP. So its one persons word against anothers.
The police are massively understaffed due to the current cuts etc.The force has been downsized in many areas. They struggle with sorting out serious crimes.Let alone squabbles between neighbours.0 -

Every police force is different and mine were there when I needed them, within 45 minutes of making a non emergency phone call.
As for me causing trouble reporting them left right and centre? Are you having a laugh or trolling? Of course I am going to report this harassment and threatening behaviour to the police and HA. Police do take harassment and stalking seriously. Everyone in the street were out, some may not wish to be involved but they all seen what exactly happened and quite a few have said to me they will not speak to these neighbours again as they have seen their true colours.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -
No if you look back and read the sentence correctly I am saying thats what the neighbour will say.0

It's difficult to "stay out of it" if a neighbour is filming and recording you in your house and garden and then talking about it with other people.0 -
For the past few days I have been too scared to have a private conversation in my own home and even when out walking the dogs. My immediate neighbour used to have a CCTV camera and he could hear sound from a few streets away. If nosy neighbours camera can pick up sound from inside my house then it will pick up sound very clear from a few streets away too.
I have never really liked this nosy neighbour so I only just said hi, how you doing and never got into conversations with her. We were warned what she was like when we moved here 15 year ago. I call her neighbourhood watch. I don't see her at the window often so have always wondered how she knew so much even about neighbours especially those who keep themselves to themselves and don't even say hi to anyone. Lazy owner is her good friend (as they were one of the first ones to live in our street) and she has always said to me that nosy neighbour never misses anything because she doesnt sleep. She did say she had a video camera in her bedroom window and with certain things that she has repeated back to me it is very clear she is picking up sound. Very hard to keep myself to myself when I can't even have a private conversation in my own home for fear of her listening in.
She knew exactly why the police were at two addresses in our street recently even though these two residents never speak to anyone. It is all obvious what is going on now.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -
not all dogs require outside walking and it is actually harmful to some breeds.
sad and lonely are human emotions and whilst we love animals must not extrapolate these to animals asa way to validate our opinions.
people have to work. the dog is obviously safe so it annoys me when people try to make animals out to be humans.
as long as the dog is fed dry and has companionship when owners are home its really only an opinion that one has that the dog is sad with no evidence beyond righteous indignation0
