Why own a dog if you aren't going to walk it?

That is indeed great news, mainly for the dog but also for all you long suffering neighbours.Thank goodness for whoever did report her.
I just hope to goodness she doesn't relent in a few months time and get yet another.Perhaps now she will get off your back. Why DO people have to be so downright nasty?0 -

I am so pleased that someone reported the dog barking excessively. I have said for months that it is only a matter of time before someone complains about it. I wanted to do it myself but would have felt so guilty. I am getting the blame even though she has no solid proof who it was, but it was probably a good thing I got the blame as I have said what needed to be said about her being too lazy to walk her and it must have actually sunk in.
Owner had been saying for months that she is sick of the dog barking and thinking of getting rid of her. Had she not had a complaint about the barking then I don't think she would have ever rehomed the dog. Just a shame it had to be reported resulting in abuse threats and police involved but it was all worth it as the dog will now have a better life.
The barking upset me more than anything as I knew the dog was bored and lonely. She was always standing in the garden barking as if to say Help, get me out of here. I really hope she doesn't end up getting her back (after the barking settles) or get another as she can't look after a dog properly.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -
Is there any way you can find out how the dog is getting on? You may meet it when out with your dog.I suppose you could make some nice remarks to the new owner about what a lovely dog, haven't seen it out before and pretend you don't know it's history.
Of course if it comes rushing over to you and makes afuss of you it might be hard to keep up the pretence!!
I think it will stop barking when it is getting the attention it needs so there should be no cause to return it.She probably wouldn't have it back anyway but you don't know on what terms it has been rehomed.0
