Bank: Intelligent Finance
Amount Reclaimed: £53
Amount they paid: £68 !!
The story:
I claimed 4 late fee's that I could see in my statements using templates. They replied saying no the charges were fair. I challenged that using the template. They replied saying with customer relations department. Before I could chase I received a letter offering £68 as a goodwill payment.

Hi all
I would like to share my success story and encourage others to do this , i had been paying loan protection on my loans for approx 2 years, and after seeing many success stories on this website i decided to have a go at it myself . What do i have to loose i thought? so i used one of Martins template letters, sent it recorded delivery as advised (approx end of Feb 09), and within 3 weeks i recieved a letter saying that my case was being dealt with , and i will have a reply within the recommended days they have to reply, about a month later i recieved another letter saying there may be a delay , i thought to myself this is going nowhere and was about to give up hope . Then last week i finally recieved the letter i had been waiting for , and was offered an early settlement fee of £590.00. i am absolutely thrilled! , and have now sent back my settlement letter .
I am wondering whether to try and reclaim some overdraft charges back too , is there a limit on what you can claim back ?
I would just like to thank you guys on here for sharing your success stories and advice because without it i would never even have give it a second thought , and Martin you are a LEGEND!!! :money:
Thanks

bank nationwide reclaimed £108 got it all back phoned , then they sent forms to fill in , took about a month. also ask for a free permanent overdraught even if only £50 this gives you some extra for emergencies, ask to see a manager. also be polite and firm ,helps abit .:T0

Hi Guys,
Glad to see so many people are having success. I'm really keen to see that Halifax are agreeing to pay out. What process did you follow inorder for them to consider paying out? I've had numerous convesations with them and correspondance via the post.
Thanks,
John.0
