Woolwich:
Amount claimed: £1858.50
Amount offered: £1260.00
I sent the first template letter on 9th April. They replied 4th May with the list of charges to my account for the last six years so I sent off the next letter and charges calculation the very same day.
Today I have received their offer of £1260.00 which I am accepting as it will clear a good part of another debt and is money I never ever expected to get back.
That just leaves RBS, Natwest and Barclays - all claims are in and I am waiting!
This is a brilliant website and thank you to everyone for the positive vibes - Martin you are a saint!

Barclays are dragging their feet, taking ages to reply to letters and fobbing off when they do. Starting court proceedings as soon as funds will allow.0 -

Amount Received: £2950
I had to issue court papers and was meant to be in court on 10th July but received 3 letters from their solicitors on Friday, one of which said they were disputing the costs and one offering to pay in full. I signed this letter and the funds have gone into my account today. CYPRUS HERE I COME :j

: Barclays Bank
Amount Claimed 2369.59 including interest and 120 court costs
Amount Recieved 2369.59
I started the whole process in the middle of January when i asked for my statements, i was originally offered roughly just over half but decided against it as people were saying to just be patient and i would get all of it so i did!! I took them to the small claims court and i was waiting to be allocated a date, another couple months to wait or so i thought. I was then told about someone in this forum mentioning about the Litigation Department and phoning them up and giving them your court number and they would put you through to the person who was dealing with it so i did and i was put through to the appropriate person. All i had to do was to fax through a list of my charges to them with a cover letter ie with my details on like account number, court number and address etc. 1 day after that i had a letter from the litigation department basically offering me the full amount 'without addmission to liabilty....' the usual letter as i am sure you are aware. I had to sign the back accepting the offer and then i faxed it back to him first thing the next day and by 2 pm the money was in my account. Anyone who is worried or willing to settle for the first offers of u[ to 60% of the claim don't do it, i was going to bacause money has been hard for me but i hang on because i knew with this money that i had been charged and could get back i could finally live and work knowing that life was comfortable and i don't owe anyone anything now, I am finantilally solvent and it's been a long time coming!! So go for it people....
Thankyou Martin for all your hard work, good luck!:money:

Amount claimed:- £1600ish
Amount recovered:-£1100ish
Followed the whole procedure as per Martin's excellent instructions again, ended up having to issue proceedings due to slowness of Natwest response, Natwest got their solicitors (Cobbetts) to acknowledge service.
Was having a flick through the forums the other day when I came across this, (posted by some legend called jayanator, good work mate!):-

I gave Kathy a call and she made an offer of £1,100 there and then, which I accepted. Formal confirmation came through in the post this morning; I sent the acceptance slip back and am now just waiting for the money to be paid into my account!
I know that I could have held on and gone to court on this one, but a couple of things prompted me to settle right now:-
1) The banks, and the courts strategy towards settlement is changing all the time, and I didn't want the aggro of going any further.
2) I've been with Natwest 25 years, and they settled this without any real fuss at all. Fair play to them.
I started the procedure on 4th March, got my offer letter today. Just over 3 months. I'm now going after RBS for some dodgy account I had with them 3 years ago, and chasing up on a couple of old credit cards.
Thanks as always to Martin and his team for this brilliant website - this £1,100 will help me pay off my overdraft and have a big old night on the booze. The thing is though, when you look at the amounts some people are claiming, they're big enough to be positively life-changing - and for giving people the advice, skills and (most importantly) the belief to claim these amounts, Martin deserves all the credit in the world. What a legend!
Good luck to all those who are continuing to claim, you can (and will) do it!0 -
