Debt Recovery Plus Ltd, intended court action -advice sought.

I have been ignoring Parking Invoices from Total Parking Solutions (TPS). I have now received a letter from Debt Recovery Plus a "Notice of Intended court Action". It states if I don`t pay £148.00 it will go to the creditors solicitor to commence court proceeding.
Apparently I have ignored a previous letter from them - but this is the first I have received.
The original parking invoice was because I stayed 20 mins over the allowed time in a Health Centre car Park. The Health Centre has a Boots and two Dr`s Surgeries on it. So I guess that they are the clients of TPS.
I work from one of the Doctors Surgeries- I am not employed by them but work as a therapist with their Patients. I was asked to come in by the Surgery for an I.T induction and I parked in their car park.
Therefore should I just keep ignoring this?
The Car Park was free so there has been no financial lose on their clients part, plus I was invited by them (but I should of noticed the cameras I guess).
Thanks in advance.

Yes, ignore this and any others yet to receive.
Probability is it will end by itself.
In the unlikely, very unlikely event you receive court papers then come back here as even this does not equate to you paying anything/going to court even.
In the mean time do a search of this forum "Debt Recovery Plus." There are scores and scores of posts and people like yourself.Got a ticket from ParkingEye? Seek advice by clicking here: Private Parking forum on MoneySavingExpert.:j0 -

Posts everywhere about DRP and Zenith letters, cluttering up this forum and pepipoo to the extent that I for one am bored of typing the same reply. However bear with me because the pepipoo link is useful.
All you had to do was Google them. But do read the pepipoo last link, to just a snapshot of threads all asking the same question (I post as SchoolRunMum on pepipoo and you'll see I gave that poster a load of links in seconds, as the question is asked so often by people who don't know how or don't bother to search a forum). It's only a matter of ignoring junk mail from DRP and 'Zenith' (also the same DRP call centre).
The only time to respond is if you get a Letter Before Action and if Parking Eye decide to try a small claim. Right now DO NOT respond.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi. Just new in this forum. I have been ignoring their letters for the past 8 months now suddenly I received a letter from JMW solicitors with office in Birmingham asking me to pay debt recovery plus or they will recommend to debt r plus to issue a proceedings against me. Please let me know if I need to answer this letter now as in their heading is "Do not ignore this letter". Any guidance is greatly appreciated.0

It's best to start your own thread, but its nonsense a solicitor stating that they will recommend a debt collection company, to issue proceeding for a debt they don't own, do not deserve to be taken seriously!0

Read this thread since it shows you how to reply to JMW and how to complain against them and to the Solicitor's Regulatory Authority.

Hi
I am new to this forum and although all the advice is great - I just want to check something. I (like many others) received a parking fine for staying at my local shopping centre for over 4 hours. After reading advice on this and many other web sites I decided to ignore it - after all I was genuinely shopping and using the facilities!
I am now at the stage of receiving a letter from Debt Recovery Plus - how likely is it that I will get taken to court or have bailiffs turn up and take my car? My husband thinks I should have just paid it so isn't very happy!! I was very brave at the beginning but am now scared!!! :sad Thanks x0 -

We can't say any more than is already on the forum every day on other threads. Should not have ignored - but you can now. No bailiffs, no clamping, no towing! Don't be daft - your OH is deluded if he reckons anyone should pay this rubbish or that you can be clamped or towed and bailiffs sent round by some random private parking company! (sorry but that's just SILLY seeing as clamping & towing has been illegal for over a year, and you have no actual debt or credit agreement with these scumbags)!
Why not just search the forum for one keyword 'Recovery' and read the advice given day in day out...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Have a read of this thread:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4812156Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Rather than read old posts, just confine yourself to threads from the last six months - The post-POFA strategy is is still developing.0
