Frogga - if the chocolate is too much temptation, as it would be for me, why not donate it for raffle prizes to local charities etc.
Jane
Yes I did think about that. But the children bought them for me, and I really want them!I LOVE chocolate, especially the ones they gave me. I really want to save them for Christmas, and enjoy them when I do.
To be perfectly honest, if I'm being good then they won't tempt me. Nothing will knock me off my stride when I'm 'In the Zone' and once I've decided I want to binge, nothing will stop me. I'd go out to an all night garage to get binge food if I wanted it
So, it was a good idea, but I really want them, so I'm keeping them, I actually feel very virtuous having them in the cupboardSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Hi Everyone,
Long time no post.
I've been a naughty girl.
I've not really stuck to plan for about a month.
I have no excuses...I just couldn't be bothered to count and measure and syn things. I have had a major case of CBA.
4 weeks ago, I got my Club 10 and my Stone Award, then it all went downhill. I decided to "celebrate" by eating.
The following week I gained 1lb. The week after I didn't go to WI. Last week I gained another 1lb. I've tried harder this week but definitely not been an angel, until the past few days.
The weather hasn't helped - I am a huge Ice Cream fan in general, I adore full on Ice Cream Sundae's with Hot Fudge Sauce, peanut butter chunks, marshmallows etc. I blame ice-cream for my 2lb gain. Sorry but sometimes a Mini Milk just doesn't cut it. Some times you want a Magnum. And don't start me on my passionate yet dangerous on off relationship with two guys called Ben and Jerry.
Anyway, I AM TRYING very hard to get back on track.
Got a curry loaf in the oven. Am back to counting my syns.
Just not finding SW as easy as I used too .0 -
I've had a good Red day so far and dinner looks promising too!
B - fruit salad, FF yoghurt
L - huge tuna salad with FF dressing
D - chicken breast stuffed with garlic and chive Quark and wrapped in dry cured lean bacon, SW chips (HEB) & baked beans (HEB)
HEA - milk in teas
Snacks: more fruit
Syns: none so far but probably have a mini milk later. Not sure if I'll have anything else but not too worried as over-indulged at weekend so needed to rein syns back over the week before WI tomorrow!

:wave:missi. 2lbs isn't the end of the world and it sounds as if you're back on track already (or at least getting there). I have to say I measure very little. When I started I measured out milk a few times so I have a good idea what it looks like. I found I used less than a HEA when I just had drinks and a bit more on the couple of days a week I have cereal/porridge. So I just live with that. I reckoned if my weightloss slowed I'd tighten up but it never happened. Same with things like sauce. I allow for them as syns but I know I don't have a full tbsp so that's a plus.
Glad to hear you're 'in the zone' frogga, and long may you stay there!!:D I think it's very mse saving the chocolates for Christmas. You may be given more by then so you could probably give away some as hostess gifts etc.
MrO, it did occur to me that you could afford to have your meal tonight, be as sensible as possible and not worry overmuch if you haven't used any syns this week. Up to 105 a week are allowed.
I'm having a good EE day:
B: fried egg on HEB toast, NAS Ribena, HEA milk for teas
L: bubble & squeak with pickled onionsspaghetti Bolognese
Syns: squirt of sauce with my egg and I may have a bit of parmesan later0 -

I you're right and thanks for the booze thread. Here's the menu for tonight - Lowest syn options would be welcome!

I'm thinking corn fed chicken without the yoghurt might be a good choice, or the Caesar Salad without the dressing and croutons (although it's just chicken and leaves at that point).0 -

Obviously there's no point choosing something you don't like but if it was me wanting to stay as SW friendly as possible I think I'd have moules as a starter (try not to drink too much of the 'juice') and then a steak with salad and new potatoes. Consultants are always telling us to ask for dressings on the side and suchlike in restaurants but often the dishes are ready prepared. It's worth asking for new potatoes without butter and salad dressing on the side. I find if you say something like 'too much fat doesn't agree with me' I find that more helpful than 'I'm on a diet:o'.
If I'm eating out with work then I'm careful with syns. If it's a special occasion then I'm more lenient with myself. Enjoy your evening.0 -

I would imagine the whole grilled mackrel or a steak would be a better option - with the steak ask for the sauce on the side & make sure all veg comes plain (no butter) & have a jacket instead of the chips (if they do it) or new potatoes???
If you like salad (i can't stand the rabbit food!) you could get the steak tartare or grilled chicken salad as a main & ask for dressing on the side
Could you phone the restaurant in advance and ask them if they would cater for these changes - i.e. cook a jacket potato & for dessert you could have the strawberries - but ask for cream on the side & then use 1/2 the amount they give you???
Hope i have helped0 -
Thank you for your valueable suggestions! I doubt this place has a jacket potato on the menu, but the dressing on the side options are probably good ones.
Any idea how to go about putting Syn values on these things? :undecided0 -

Personally i wouldn't worry with the syn values - it's so tricky
But if you have something sensible you will be ok0 -
OK, my plan is this (thumbs up or thumbs down please you expert SWers!)
Starter: Moule (without bread or drinking too much sauce)
Main: Steak tartare (raw chopped steak with 0 syn additions such as tabasco, raw egg, capers etc) and a green salad.
Sparking water and coffee.
Two of my favourite dishes anyway. I think that's a plan.0
