Up early this morning at 5am! to take DH to work so that I can have the car to get to WI this morning. Hoping for a small loss this week - only need half pound to be bang on target. This will be my last WI until the new year.

Will be having an EE day today, mainly because it's our Christmas party this morning at group and I'd of had a Red today but there's usually loads of rice salads and pasta salads when we have tasters!

B - banana - after WI plus tasters
L - 2 BGTY cumberland sausages in a sandwich with 1Tbs brown sauce plus one HM mini toad in the hole. Will have some fruit after
D - Beef bourgingon, mash, green beans & peas.

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
    HEB - bread
Syns - sausages 1; mini TITH 1; tasters, say 5? possibly a fruit split lolly this evening 3

Will post later when I get back from WI.

Mildredd, I love roasted veg as well.

What horrible weather we are all having :(

WI for me tonight - fingers crossed for something off - so fed up with sts.

Have told myself I am allowed one big bag of tasty premium quality crisps over the Christmas break with some M&S Dips! Can't wait - its been a long time lol. Not sure when I'm having it yet though.

Our group is open for WI next Friday after Boxing Day so I'll be going along then to see what the damage is - eek

I wish the rain would stop and then there might be some chance of getting some walking done.

Have you all tried the Mikado Dime Bar ones? I got these last night in Tesco - for 0.5 syn each they are great if you don't want to go the whole hog and spend about 5/6 syns on a mini chocolate bar etc.

Denise, think I will be trying those sausages as well.

So hard to get low fat sausages here though - neither Tesco or Asda stock reduced fat ones :(

I didn't have a chance to post last night, as I spent all yesterday afternoon and most of the evening wrapping Christmas presents. I wish I remembered to do what my big sister does, and wrap the presents as and when I buy them over the weeks. Mind you, she does most of her shopping in early November, then has all the following weeks to use her dining table to wrap things on. I have to use the end of our bed, and hide everything from prying eyes from children! As it is I've had to convince my youngest that the box containing the drum kit that was delivered in the ONE hour I was out of the house at the drs. with my other son last week, has had to go back because he googled the name on the side to find out what it was! Bl00dy internet is a curse sometimes... but lovely when it means I can moan about it here to you lot ;)

So I had a good day on plan, was going to have a green day, but decided to go EE instead once I'd decided on my dinner.

    EE (yesterday):
B - Porridge HExB + extra porridge 4.5 syns, Milk HExA
    L - Pasta & Sauce
D - Lamb Shank in mint gravy 1.5 syns, cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, baked potato. Butter 1.5 syns
    Snacks - pineapple
    Total syns = 7.5

I struggle to see how the lamb shank can be so low in syns, and taste so blimmin gorgeous. One of my sons had the other one in the pack, and said it was delicious. I could easily eat both of them though!

Today's plan I think I've decided what is for dinner already, so it's an EE day again.

B - porridge HExB + extra porridge 4.5 syns, Milk HExA
L - Tikka Chicken, super rice, mixed baked beans ketchup 1 syn
D - Gammon steak, egg, SW chips, salad, ketchup 1 syn
    Snacks : banana, satsuma, apple

I'm off to the s/mkt in a bit to stock up on fruit, so I'll be able to have plenty of my fruit and yogurt snacks again. Have been leaving things to get low on purpose before Christmas. I'm also purposefully trying to limit my syns before Christmas week, in the hope of some damage limitation.

Joedenise I love the Sainsburys BGTY sausages, they are nice and meaty, with a good flavour. Sometimes I find some of the low fat ones can be a little dry. I quite like the Morrisons ones too, but it's not a local s/mkt to me so rare we have them.

How you all have a great day.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

I like the Sainsbury's half syn ones. Do you have the freezer space if you travelled to the nearest stockist once in a while?

I love roasted veg but never thought of putting carrots with them. Thanks mildredd. Hope the texts stop soon.

I only cook one meal for us as well. And I do exactly the same as you denise and buy DH treats that I don't like. Since getting to target I have put a few things back on the menu that I banned before (mostly a few sauces involving cornflour) but he's never complained. Bless him.:)

3.5lbs gained today shala. I think that means I've come in -1lb on the challenge when my plan was STS so I'm happy with that. Considering I've had something flexi (i.e. no idea what the syns were:rotfl:) every day since last WI I'm not surprised at this week's gain.

I'm now 1lb below my target weight going into Christmas. I'm not going to WI for a few of weeks (probably 9th January) so if I can come out of that still in target range I'll be delighted.

Might look into doing a sainsburys sausage run sometime Maman.

Congrats on coming in at -1 on your target. You are certainly managing to maintain very well - gives the rest of us hope lol

You should ask to speak to the manager and put forward a request for them to stock them. They can only say no. If there is enough demand they might listen.

Do you always cook separate things for yourself and OH? In the 3+ years I've been doing SW we've both eaten the same things. If he doesn't like/want what I put in front of him he's quite welcome to cook himself something:rotfl:.

If he wants anything during the evening he usually just eats biscuits - I only buy custard creams 'cos I don't like them so means I can be good:A.

    Denise

I did used to cook separate meals but that was more because we were eating at different times rather than I'm following SW and he is not. Last night I decided to have some mc cain rustic chips instead of making SW chips as it was getting late and well I couldn't be bothered to cut them up/wait for them to cook.

I usually try to keep our meals quite healthy / we both usually eat the same but I'll try to limit the extras I have - i.e. my OH will have naan bread with his curry, I won't.

I was naughty last night - as well as having oven chips and a breaded chicken piece (7 syns ) I had chocolate and wine syns too! :naughty:

I'm trying not to let that disrupt my plans for the rest of the week but it is very easy to be led astray. Luckly there have been no office treats today but I've still managed to scoff a lin dt chocolate bar (11 syns I think).

    Anyhow here is my menu...

    Breakfast: Mullerlite, clementine.
Snack late morning: Lin dt choc bar 11 syns. (I only intended to have a couple of squares.....)
Lunch: Deli Box Pasta Chicken and Mushroom - can't remember the syn value but I know it isn't too many. Fruit platter (melon/pineapple from the supermarket).

Tea: SW chips and fried eggs - may be roasted peppers too :)

The rain is back. Glad I'm inside!

I think the only 1/2 syn sausages now are Sainsbugs. Can you get the Linda McCartney ones as they're free so would be even lower syn?

Maman - don't know if you know but Carrs sauce flour is a bit lower in syns than cornflour (4 for 25g for Carrs and 4.5 for 25g for cornflour) and I think it actually makes a nicer sauce as it's even easier to get the lumps out! I also make it up instead of a white sauce sometimes to save the syns or HEA on milk.

Went to WI this morning and thought I'd have a small loss but unfortunately not it was STS again so still just that 0.5lb above target so have 2.5lb to "play" with over the Christmas/New Year period whilst I'm on holiday - hope it's enough!

I've already had most of today's syns as we had our Christmas party and nearly everyone bought sweet stuff which is synned! Usually when we have a taster morning loads of people bring rice or pasta salads and there wasn't any! My favourite treat was Bayley's truffles - must ask for the recipe when I next go to WI in the New Year.

I'll say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone as I probably won't be back on again until new year.
