Hi everyone! Do you mind if I join in here? I joined my local Slimming World club on 2nd December and am having my third weigh-in on Monday. I wanted to try and lose a stone before Christmas, as a good incentive to carry on and not eat rubbish all through the festive period, then have a good headstart on the next 5 stone to go in 2014!

Well, so far I lost 8lb in week 1, and 3.5lb in week 2. If I have lost 2.5lb this week, that's my target first stone gone before the Big Day on 25th Dec!! We will see on Monday....

I just wanted to ask something. I have tried to view the video on the slimming world website about the best choice alcoholic drinks for syns but I can't see it. I haven't had any alcohol for 5 weeks but might fancy a couple of drinks over Christmas. From the book, it looks like extra dry martini and diet mixer is the best way to go, but the comments under the video mention sourz. I quite fancy the idea of cherry sourz with diet lemonade. Can anyone tell me how many syns are in a 25ml shot of sourz please?

    Many thanks

Edit: Sorry, I just found the answer in the syn directory (spelling sourz with a "z" instead of an "s" helped!!) 2.5 for 25ml or 4 for 35ml. So I'm thinking 25ml of cherry sourz with lots of diet lemonade and some frozen raspberries thrown in will be a lovely low-syn festive drink! I think I will also get in some extra dry Martini - 50ml of that is just 2.5 syns...
