    Found it!!!

    Chickpea dahl loaf
1 packet of bachelors beef flavour savoury rice
    1 tin of chickpea dhal
    3 eggs.
Preheat the oven to 200 c.
Make up the rice following the instructions on the pack.
When the rice is done, mix in the three eggs and the tin of chick pea dahl.
Spoon into a baking dish – large and flattish is best.
Cook for around twenty minutes or until the loaf is firm.

    Ooh, shiny new thread!

I've been struggling, life has been getting the better of me unfortunately. Had a massive melt down and cried at my mums last week which is so out of character. I'm really not a crier!!

Anyway I was meant to be back on plan but haven't been so tomorrow is a new start, need to try and pull my life back together one thread at a time.

  • hello again to those who know me, and to those who dont yet .:)

I shall go back to the old thread to catch up, I was a bit thrown to find a new one, It didnt seem that long to me , but you guys know how to do all this posting stuff;)
I gave up after wk 2, had 2 week food fest, then my automatic common sense kicked in again. I txted a sickie to WI, then didnt go to the next one- didnt hear a cheep from the leader to see if I was OK, do you think they are just used to people not turning up and they really dont care?
Not sure that I will fully do the plans, but I am losing my way, with the plan in mind. I intend to WI at B**ts weekly.
I got a cheapie long dress in Asda sale, and its clingy fabric and my boobs look massive in it, so I need to shrink them:D or a more supportive bra, instead of M and S t shirt types?

Good luck on the flat sharing move- I have memories of doing that, weird and wonderful.
Good luck on the newbies WI s.
Beanie, sorry to read about having a scan x

Hi Aggy  Good luck with doing the plan your way. You might find you remove the pressure which has been too much and you start to lose beautifully at a pace that is good for you. I have been struggling since November to really get started (you know 3lbs off, 2lbs on, 0.5lbs off, 2lbs on etc) but I've given myself a good talking to and I think I've got my motivation back (here's hoping anyway!).

Good luck and look forward to sharing this journey with you!

I also got a dress today from ASDA. The size 18 is too tight so I had to buy the size 20. This is the first time I have had to buy this size although I was a stone heavier than I am now in 2005 (before I went on to lose 5 stones for my wedding) and I was squeezing myself into a size 18 - probably should have bought Size 20 then but I didn't. But I don't really care tbh as it looks FAB and I feel at least, ok, in it! It's for work and I like to look smart despite being so overweight.

Hiya I've been hearing about a Dahl and bachelors savoury rice loaf from my group. Didn't catch the recipes though. I have the dhal in from Morrisons well hidden it was. (it's free but not all are.) and the rice. Does anyone know how to make it?
It tastes like onion bhargi apparently.
    Thanks

Mmmmmm! I would be interested in this too as I love anything Indian food wise and definitely onion bhajis!!!

Hi GunsandBanjos :hello: Sorry to hear your feeling sad right now I am like you - I never cry so I know where you are coming from. I have a melt down (or wobbler as I call it) every now and then - it's my own way of coping.

Of course I don't know what's going on in your life but I wish you peace and calm and hope your ok.

Tomorrow is a new day - you can do it.

  • Hello fellow SW'ers - today has been a productive day!

Got up early and did all my chores then went shopping to take some clothes back that I was not happy with when they washed. I bought a top from DP and after 2 washes it was all bobbly at the front so I took it back and got something else! I've just had a snoozle which was lovely as it was thundering, lightening and torrential rain outside and I was all cosy in my jammies!!! Sunday afternoon snoozles are a luxury I have come to get used to - it's not good every week!!! LOL

I decided to take my measurements yesterday and was quite shocked at how much I have, errr 'expanded', since the last time I measured in July 2011. For example, my waist is 5 inches bigger than it was this time 2 years ago. I have therefore signed up as an early bird for the Cancer Research Race for Life. I ran it 2 years ago and lost lots of weight as I was training and had a goal in mind so I'v decided to go for it again. I have to wait until after my knee operation before I can start training but I'm itching to get started!!!

    My meal planner for today:

    B - wholemeal roll, spread
L - Cheese, Ham, Onion and Tomato omlette with cheese, yoghurt
D - Steak Pie with veggies and potatoes (didn't have it last night as wasn't hungry after my slimming world quiche!!!), strawberries, yoghurt

Or (light bulb!!!!) put into a shallow square dish and 'cube' them when cool.
