I want to make a creamy mushroom pasta sauce for dinner but has anyone got any ideas about how to make a creamy sauce (as opposed to tomato sauce) without using cream? I'd usually use creme fraiche but not on SW!!
Hi Gien,
Depending on what Healthy A you have used today you can make a creamy mushroom sauce using Philadelphia light and chopped up mushrooms. Then add some of the hot water from the pasta to help make the sauce go further! I make creamy sauces all the time this way and even before SW!

Thanks piglet and maman for the sauce ideas. I'll have to nip to the local supermarket and see if they have philadelphia light, or a similar thing. I still have almost all of my HEA milk left as a I add water to porridge - If I used that up then I could reduce the syns even further.Trying to keep in budget.

Weigh in - 3lb loss for week 1 of the Cracker challenge
Last week must have been a good week - even with the daily biscuit (or two!).
I also sold 5 items from my online jewellery shop which is great - hope it's picking up with the Christmas shoppers as I need the money to pay the blinking fuel bills this winter! I'm a full-time carer for my partner (rather unexpectedly last year he developed a rare illness) so every little helps now neither of us have a job!0 -

I know that sounds like a lot of syns denise, but it'll be easy to eat very low syn the rest of the week. Hope you enjoyed the get together. I'm sure the syns were worth it.:).

Hello everyone,
I wish I could get online at the weekends as you lot don't stop talking and it takes me ages to catch up with you all :rotfl:
Welcome to the newbies.
Thanks for the lovely table shala - that looks cool . I did my weigh-in for the start of the challenge and even though I am right at the bottom of my target range I will leave it as a 'maintain' although I could do with putting on a pound or so. Still, it is always useful to have a few lbs in hand in the run up to Christmas - it allows for any extra naughty treats I might end up having
We had no power from 4am this morning until 10.30 so breakfast ended up being cereal as I couldn't cook anythingwe lost a fence panel too but it could have been a lot worse!
EE for me today (maintaining so extra HEX's for me):
B: Weetabix (HEB1) with semi-skimmed milk (HEA1) & banana, small glass of fruit juice (2 syns), 1/2 grapefruit
L: Wholemeal roll (HEB2) with laughing cow light (HEA2) and loads of watercress, tomato & cucumber, x3 cherry tomatoes, ML FF greek style yogurt (1/2 syn)
T: Salmon fillet with lime, chilli & coriander, mashed potato & green beans
S &Green tea, water, options hot choc (2 syns), banana, satsuma
Total syns for the day (4 1/2)
Have a good day all0 -

Special K bars are 4.5 except double milk chocolate which is 4. Alpen vary between 5 and 6.5 depending on the flavour.
:Tto those of you already showing losses.
I agree sukey about staying low in the run up to Christmas. It's the nibbles at parties that I find more of a problem than Christmas itself.0
