If you want to have cereal then the easiest is to go for Weetabix as no measuring involved. Next to that, Puffed Wheat seems to give the biggest volume to weight. It's bland like plain popcorn so maybe an acquired taste but fruit perks it up. I find other cereal a very mean looking amount. Do you have time to make something else? What about baked beans or a frittata cooked in advance?

Thanks for the ideas maman but I only had the granola to perk up the banana and yogurt.. i'm not a big cereal eater usually.

I don't like breakfast really either :rotfl:i'd rather not have it, unless it's a big fat bacon sandwich of course!! :D

I will just have to get used to eating my banana and yogurt without any crunch.. :(

B: 2 Tesco Wheat Biscuits (HEXB) with HEXA skimmed milk (I hate skimmed milk but I'm trying to make my milk allowance go a bit further

Hi Mrs Ryan, have you tried the 1% milk? it tastes just like semi-skimmed but you can have more of it - think it's the values below:

    Semi skimmed - 250ml
    1% - 300ml
    Skimmed - 350ml

    I think in Tesco's it's the purple topped bottle (Sainsbury's it's orange)

.. and thankfully I managed to rescue yesterday by sticking to two apples and a bottle of Diet Coke at the cinema so 11 syns is just about ok - phew :D

Well done on the cinema trip, Mrs R - that is so impressive. Hope you managed to suck quietly on those apples so you didn't disturb anyone with furious crunching! I head for cinema with cereal bar and apple but always give in to the temptation of the carp they sell, then I eat the apple and the bar as well. Hopeless.

Hope the rugby goes your way, hang in there!

TIE - So pleased you're in on the Cracker Challenge. Hope your Mum is doing ok.

We are supposed to be having huge storm here later, hope everyone else is ok and prepared if it's coming your way. (Torch in case of power cut, fire ready to light and chocolate at the ready. Well, things could get really tough!!)

    Have a good Sunday all.

So what's to stop you with the bacon sandwich? For 4 syns (xtra slice of bread) you could have a massive one!;)

Definitely put the chocolate right out of reach. I'm sure once game's kicked off (was it 3 p.m. start) you'll be glued to Twitter anyway. Perhaps DH could chop up some fruit and put it in a bowl and you could pick at that? And could he start cooking dinner so you can eat straight after the game? Fingers crossed they don't need to use your player if he's not fully fit.

    Sorry queengoth, added you now!

Bacon sandwiches are a treat in this house I'm afraid maman, big crusty white bread and slathering of brown sauce.. Otherwise what's the point;)

I'm in the kitchen today making preserves and all I keep thinking is "what can I stuff in my face" whilst I stir the jam. At the moment I've made do with a satsuma! Once again, apologies for telling you this but it's written down and now I have to confess if the crisp/chocolate monster gets me.. :D

Keep strong Shala-moo and don't let the junk food monster win!

I've struggled this afternoon to not nibble. Eaten plenty of fruit but just wanted to eat toast!

    Thanks for the syns Maman

We're losing 26-11 and its extremely frustrating!!! OH is cooking dinner - I can smell it. I did have a snack but just some ham so it wasn't too bad. I'm listening to it online. I'm hoping that they'll use the other scrum half ahead of Fin but they might need his experience. *gulp* Think I'll go down and see how the dinner is doing...
