Heeelllllooooo all you lovely advice giving ladies (and men....and frogs
)
Thank you all so much for you advice and thoughts. I think with the syns I will use them in the meals when necessary but still make sure I have some left over incase I need a treat.
The HEX's are a bit different though, do I force myself to eat them in the evening if I haven't managed to fit them in during the day and risk wanting a snack every night, or do I just miss them out if I haven't fit them in. I managed to have both today :T had wholemeal toast and eggy cups for breakfast and milk in my teas throughout the day.
Had the most AMAZING dinner tonight, I found a recipe for BBQ sauce on minimins last night and had a bash at making that today, the sauce is lush, even OH liked it:eek:. So I mad bugers and mixed some of the sauce in with the mince, did SW chips, corn on the cob, frylighted courgettes and frylighted onions (with some sweetner added after one of you lovely ladies mentioned that they add sugar when cooking onions and tomatoes), and a pot of the BBQ sauce for dipping, it was sooooo tasty, I couldn't decide what was my favourite bit - the burger that was moist from having the sauce mixed in, the nice courgettes, the GORGEOUSLY sweet onions or the sauce itself  could have eaten it twice over!!
Who would have thought you can have burger and chips on a diet - love it.
Shala - I think I may have been missed for the challenge but can you please put me down for 10lbs, my usual weigh in day is Monday, so do I post my first weeks results on the 4th Nov?
I'm actually going to weight in tomorrow this week as OH and I are going away for tomorrow and didn't want to be disappointed with a gain as I wouldn't be able to weigh in til Tuesday morning, so I thought if I weigh in tomorrow then I've got all week to try and counteract any gains that might be occurring
Thank you all so much for you help/support/wise words, you all know how it feels and it's so nice to be around people who understand.SW Journey Re Re-started 25/02/14

Mildredd - I cooked them on high for a bit at the beginning, then added the sweetner and turned it to a medium heat and cook for about 30 mins while the sw chips and burgers were cooking. They seemed to start catching on the bottom, don't know if this was because of the sweetner, but I found if I took them off the heat an let them rest for a bit all the lovely juices came out an went all gooey in the bottom of the pan - heaven!! I have eaten 5, yes 5 onions since last night like this, 3 last night and because they were soooooo good I did another 2 tonight - i'll look like an onion soon lol
BBQ sauce recipe
you will need
1 onion, peeled and roughly chopped
1 tsp mild chilli powder
227ml/8fl oz passata
3 tbsp artifical sweetner
4 tbsp balsamaic vinegar
1 tbsp worchestershire sauce
1/2 tsp mustard powder
salt and freshly ground blacke pepper.
balslmic vingar and worchestershire sauce provide the basis for this great tasting bbq sauce thsat is perfect for a dip, basting a chicken thighs or vegetable kebabs before a bbq, lady who gave me this recipe said she has them on spare ribs and cooks them in the oven so she has bbq spare ribs.
spray a pan with fry light and saute the onion and chilli powder over a low heat for 5 minutes until softened.
stir in the remaining ingrredients, bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes untill thickened. check the seasoning before serving hot or cold.
syn free on both days ready in 20 minutes serves 4 and freezer friendly.
I blended mine at the end for a smoother sauce, oh and I doubled the amounts and made twice as much, good job too as now thinking of all the various things we can use it on, bet it would be good mixed into a tin of beans, they were saying on minimins that they use it to make hunters chicken, chicken breast wrapped in bacon topped with sauce and cheese on top
Looking forward to the break, going without the kiddie winks, but don't know how to handle the food yet, reign it in or enjoy it all????SW Journey Re Re-started 25/02/14

Hi All
I've been mostly reading and not posting this week but I am still here! Been a stressy and tiring week but I've been a good girl and stuck to the plan. I really felt like eating all day yesterday and I had 2 biscuits but managed to only reach 12 syns so I'm happy!
Two questions: Firstly I'm already crackers so have I won the challenge?
Secondly, what do I have to do on here for the challenge - do I just post my weight loss (see how optimistic I am!!) each week or should I be putting my daily meal plans on as well?
Off to have a cuppa and my daily biscuit treat!0 -

Some of us post menus but it's personal preference, sometimes helps for others to have a look at what you're eating and comment on anything you could improve on, or share some ideas.
As far as the challenge goes, post your loss on the day you have set as weigh in day - Monday in my case. If you put it in bold or coloured it's easier for Shala to see and she is recording them. I think we 'officially' start on Monday but someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
Good luck!0 -
We started yesterday Inazuma
We had lots of false starts and some people kept jumping the gun and being shown the red card so in the end we just all started. I'm sure you'll catch us up as you're so good
