I am another one for not denying myself anything naughty. I too have gone cold turkey and it resulted in a binge that then led to a steady weight gain of close to 2 stone :o practically all of the weight I had lost previously with SW hence why I am back here again.

SW is not a diet is a lifesytle choice, if your 'lifestyle' can work without chocolate then go for it, but I am a firm believer in a little of something naughty every once in a while does you good. This is what SW syns are for.

I had another day 100% on plan yesterday, and will attempt that again today, I say attempt as the weekend is always my downfall where I think I deserve a little something extra for being good leading up to it! Don't know about the logic there but never mind!

I have my Club 10 firmly in site now, and only need another 7lbs to reach it. Would love to do this by the end of November, then I could really work about getting back into the 12 stone band again...

Hope everyone has a good day.

Ohh we're starting today?!?! *runs to weigh*

Ok I've weighed and I have my official pudding weight to start with.. :j now to get onto making it a cracker weight in 8 weeks time :T I will post everyone's targets up in a bit!!

I lost 3lbs this week (started on Monday) :T here's hoping to do the same next week!!

Agree with Frogga & Becks about having something little if you fancy it. I lost 3stone the first time with SW having crisps everyday, I've always had crisps with my lunch and the habit is really hard to break but with SW I didn't have too, I just had to change the type of crisps I was eating!

    Green day
B - probably nothing, I'm not out of bed yet :D, maybe a banana
    L - I fancy cheese & potato pie (hea's)
T - egg and SW chips, 2 little bread (heb) salad
    S - crisps 4, apple

Not too many syns today as I need to make up for the Chinese last night :o

  • Ok, ready steady go.... Am off to fruit and veg shop now! This challenge is full on. I want my target and I want it soon as!
    2014 reach my best.
  • Hi, I think it's time I joined in again! Lost weight with sw a few years ago, then put most of it back on again!

So starting fresh again today. This morning weighed in at 13st 2lbs. Would like to get to a comfortable 11st 7lbs. That's a nice weight for me at 5ft 9.

Been too busy for breakfast this morning, but just had an early lunch of homemade yellow split pea and veg soup, which I made in the slow cooker yesterday.

Planning on filling the fridge up today with basics like sw pasta quiche, or good old chickpea dahl bake. I like to keep skinless cooked chicken portions on there too to grab, rather than reaching for crisps!

Must work on getting in some exercise too this time!

    Xx

Hi cande, you've had advice about going cold turkey with the chocolate. I suppose all you can do is give it a try. Perhaps buy a couple of Freddos or sachets of Options and see if you can just have one per night.

On the HEXs: they're built into SW so you won't put weight on/stop losing by including them in your meal plan. As 'healthy' extras you should try to eat them as, without going into too much detail of the science, it's about fibre and calcium. Missing them occasionally won't matter but all the time isn't good. I don't know if you're too busy to have more than fruit for a mid-week breakfast? Do you like cheese? I find having things that are easily measurable works best for me.

So I'll have a slice of toast with most breakfasts and then I don't even look for bread the rest of the day. Or you could take a sandwich (2 small slices) to work every day. Or you could have crispbreads instead (my friend swears by Finn crisps). Same with the HEAs, if you have Laughing Cows then you know exactly how many triangles you can have. They're very easy to nibble at.

HTH, so much of this comes down to will power. Perhaps it's worth testing yours just a little?;)

Now Now watch that tantrum Queenie or we'll send you to live with Catt, and you wouldn't like that as I've heard she sends her kids to bed without even feeding them

Cheeky mare :o We had tantrums from 9 months Midredd, but it's the stubborness & absolute refusal to do ANYTHING she doesn't want to that's come out of nowhere recently. At last if she doesn't eat her dinner she does eat every morsel of her breakfast the next day! :D:p

Feeling good today although tad of a headache. Just waiting for shopping to be delivered while dd down for a nap. Hope they're not late.

    Another green day today :D

B; had a lie-in thanks to hubby so just a banana
    L; savoury rice
D; veg sausages, egg, beans, mushrooms, grilled tomato & sw chips
    HEa - tbc
    HEb - Hi-Fi bars
Syns - not sure yet - might treat myself to some chocolate or other tasty morsels for this evening as hubby away - anyone got a recent list of chocolate/crisps up to 15 syns? Cheers :D

I still don't have control of my eating/binging. When I'm feeling strong, I can have a square a night from a huge bar - but the slightest wobble & the rest of the bar plus anything else in sight gets devoured. I can't have a 'treat' cupboard like Frogga as my willpower isn't strong enough.

    C xx

Only teasing Matey  You are obviously a BRILLIANT mum and it shows. You are doing the right thing and you should be confident in that. Hold fast. Many of us have been there, and now our Tadpoles are all the better for the discipline. If you give in to the tantrums, you'll end up with a spoilt madam, that treats people like poo like some of the Children at school.

By the way, loving the feeling of 'The Race' for this challenge. I'm glad some of you were caught napping as it gives the rest of us a head start. I am so gonna win this time.

I will be a Christmas Cracker, I will be a Christmas Cracker, I will be a Croaking Cracker...

    Hi fellow SW-ers,

I'm sure I saw a comment a few pages in about finding the Linda McCartney sausages cheaply so just thought I'd throw in that I picked up a box of 6 this morning for £1.50 in Iceland. Not too sure how cheap that is as it's my first time buying but I just thought I'd let you all know in case it was.

    Have a good weekend all!
