My meal plan changed as there was a heavy thunderstorm and it made me fancy a roast.

Not sure about this logic, Mildredd but it made me laugh:rotfl:!

Ohh i'm in a food mood today!! I want fooooodddd.. my tea's cooking but it's not quick enough :rotfl:

    Food today - green

    B - granola (2), yogurt, banana
L - heb bread, hea cheese, carrot, light mayo (1) onion
T - baked gnocchi (4) bacon, cheese (Hea & heb)
    S - crisps(6.5) treat chomp (3) apple slices

ohh a bit close today with syns, but I was having to use up full fat crisps and the gnocchi which i'd bought before going back on SW. Now they've gone only buying healthier things.

Becks how did your terrine go? it sounded lovely! I might try a normal chocolate one just because I have some to use up!

I'm ignoring the chocolate and crisps talk "la la la not listening"

Thanks Shala, the terrine was a right mess to look at, the lower layer of jelly collapsed and made the yogurt give way, the top layer or rasps and jelly held really well, I think I will leave it to chill a bit longer in the freezer next time, I was too ashamed to take it to the taster evening, so I sort of ate it after weigh in :o it tasted lush!
  • Hey everyone,
As a vegetarian (and slowly transforming vegan) who travels pretty much full time – I know only too well the problems of avoiding animal products in my food. I usually use the (awesome) 'happy cow' app, but sometimes it's just not enough for me.
Sooo...I'm developing an app for vegetarian/vegan travellers to make their lives (and mine) on the road easier, more fun and stress-free.
A big feature of the app will be direct translations in 35 languages for lacto-ovo veggies and vegans requests (for now). There was an app that did this called 'Veggie Passport' a few years ago, but it stopped updating and got deleted.
Which questions would you like to be able to say in any language to avoid animal products, when you travel? So far I have:
“I do not eat any meat, fish or dairy products. Please can you ask the chef to cook me a meal without them?”
“I don't eat any meat. Can I order this without meat?”
“Can you recommend me a meal on the menu that has no meat, or dairy in the recipe?”
The more specific the better. Thanks in advance
    Anthony

    Hi all,

Not been posting for a while, but had weigh in on Monday and lost 2.5lbs so was chuffed with that, brings the total lost to 11.5lbs so far. I would love to lose another 2.5 this week to take me to the 1 stone mark.

If you'll have me I would like to join in the Christmas Cracker Challenge, my target will be 10lbs I am setting it at something that I hope might be achievable, but I do have a weekend away with OH, so will keep my finger crossed. I would love to make it to 2 stone for xmas, we shall see.

I have a question for you all, since I started 5 weeks ago I have been pretty much on the wagon most of the time, shocking I know, but I haven't had a single piece of chocolate since I've started (and that's the truth) and I have managed to kurb my evening snacks to the odd one off night and not every night like before, I have also not eaten bread til recently when I have started having some wholemeal toast with boiled eggs for breakfast at the weekends as i'm bored of having fruit.
The reason I've done all these things is that if I have any of the above then i'm worried i'll get the taste for it and won't be able to stop. I've managed to wean myself off having an evening snack as I don't want to get used to having one every night or getting the taste for chocolate and constantly craving it, but I do find that I don't use all of my HEs everyday. On a weekend I will use all of my milk allowance on teas, but on a weekday I will usually only have one or two cups which leaves me with about half my HEA unused, and the same for the bread, at the weekends I am trying to use it for breakfast but during the week I don't always use it. I don't want to eat food for the sake of eating but wonder if I actually need to fit them in or am ok to skip them sometimes.

Its the same with syns, at the mo I'm only really using them in meals and never even get near 10 a day, average around 3-7, and again I don't want to eat for sake of eating or end up wanting more of the naughty stuff.

Sorry for the long post but really wanted some advice. :o

Cande this is the age old problem for me. I've gone Cold Turkey and often gone without Chocolate for months. One time I had no Chocolate or treats from January 1st to August 2nd. In that time I lost 9st. You can see what a big deal it was as I even know the exact dates.

I did get used to not having it. But I love Chocolate, very very much. So then, when I had a little bit as a 'reward' for losing all that weight, I went mad. Within a few months, I'd put all the weight back on again, and some more, because I just couldn't stop. I ate and ate and ate.

Now, is the answer to never ever eat chocolate again, because once I start, I can't stop. Or is it better to force myself to have a little bit so that I don't get the feeling of deprivation?

I have lost nearly 10st 4 times, and put it all back on again. this time I'm nearly up to 7st lost. This time I've made a treat cupboard. MagicBucks gave me a list of under 10syn treats. The cupboard is FULL of them. I have one EVERY night, if I want to. Some nights I don't need it. I have binged this time round. I have eaten way to much from the treat cupboard. However, I keep going. And it keeps coming off. I haven't given up like I have done every other time.

I guess we are all different, and we all find our own ways of doing things. But experience has told me that going without is a totally miserable existance. I love Chocolate. See, I even give it a capital letter, it's that important to me. And Mr Frog says I'm a nice person, and he doesn't want me to be unhappy about not having any. So, it's there if I want it. I LOVE that cupboard, it's my security blanket. With the help of the fantastic people on here I am trying very hard to control my addiction and enjoy my Chocolate without feeling guilty. Life is too short.
