Just back from nearly a month's holiday and jumped on the scales to check the damage and I've only put on 3lb - no idea how with the amount of baguettes I ate and the copious amounts of red wine! Did get out and do plenty of walking so maybe that helped.
I'm due to go to WI on Thursday morning. I was at top end of target when I went on holiday so if I can lose a bit by Thursday I'll have a week's grace to lose the rest of it before next week and not have to pay:D.
Have done a meal plan for evening meals from yesterday until WI:
Sun - roast chicken (no skin); roast potatoes; roast courgettes, red peppers, onions & garlic; green beans, Tbs gravy (1)
Mon - HM chickpea & spinach curry (recipe from SW website), boiled rice
Tue - Pasta, meatballs in HM tomato sauce
Wed - Tesco Light choices cumberland sausages (2), mash & veg, Tbs gravy (1)
Breakfasts - something with eggs, either omlette, scrambled or part of fry up
Lunches - HM soup - planning to make onion soup, mixed veg soup and carrot & corriander and freeze in single portions. (Need to get my freezer filled up as my daughter turned off my freezer accidentally when she was here no realising it was the switch for my outside freezer).
Need to go shopping this morning having only done absolute basics yesterday when DH came with me!
Well done everyone with their losses over the last month while I've been MIA.
Denise

Well done on first WI, bet you were really pleased and it will have spurred you on for this week.
Well done to all the other losers too.0 -

Need to have a syn free week too, although I'll probably have 1 a day, greek muller and sf jelly. Good luck!0 -
Great losses there!
I don't want to join on line if I can avoid it as it's quite pricey and the only thing I used it for was syns.
I've started today with a big fruit salad and a dog walk. Lunch will be a change of plan - we have a ton of courgettes to use up so it's ratatouille day!Trying to keep in budget.

Feeling fat (day before WI). I've been 100% since Wednesday & don't think I've lost a lb!
B; Fruit salad & yoghurt
L; syn free tom soup
D; Hearty beef stew from the Family Feasts book
On the plus side I bought a pair of size 16 jeans yesterday!!!!! (I started off a 20) - I can get them on & do them up, but I wouldn't really want to be seen out in public in them just yet as they make my muffin top bigger than my b00bs which isn't flattering :rotfl: Hubby's quite chuffed though. Strangely my top half hasn't shrunk much - some 18's I still can't get into0 -

:T to all you Monday morning WIs, you're doing great!:T frogga, I've been conscious that you don't seem to be eating quite as much as before, lots of snacks missed out and some evening treats not needed.
gien, I've heard that on-line membership is expensive and not much use either. Just ask away if you need any syn values. I only carry on going to group occasionally because it's free at target. THIS group is much better!:D
Can I ask about ratatouille, do you have a recipe? and can you freeze it? I was wondering about making some little ratatouille pasta bakes for hot lunches as a change from soup.Skint_Catt wrote: »Feeling fat (day before WI). I've been 100% since Wednesday & don't think I've lost a lb!

It's a good feeling when you drop a size but wearing baggy, old clothes can sometimes be more motivating IYSWIM. I'm pottering about the house today in old jeans and they feel gloriously loose. Yesterday I had a new pair on and, like you, I was conscious of some muffin top and a general reminder they were a bit snug. I find jeans a better guide than scales. :Tfor your DH being so supportive.
:wave:denise, glad you enjoyed your loooong holiday and just 3lbs on is excellent.:)
My EE plan for today:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: LO chicken and vegbaked haddock, new potatoes, cauli and broccoli
Syns: squirt of syrup, cheese sauce0 -
-1.5lb so that's my first stone gone in 4 weeks
Disappointed it wasn't more but my consultant reckons its coz I've walked more this week than previous weeks? Not sure i believe her or if she was just being nice?!
