    Wow - thank you so much! I am going to calculate my soup as 1.5 syns then too.

    Vegetable Stock,Tomato ,Potato ,Carrot ,Tomato Pur!e ,Red Pepper ,Cannellini Beans (5%) ,Onion ,Green Bean ,Cooked Pasta (4%) ,Tomato Juice ,Sugar ,Vegetable Oil ,Garlic Pur!e ,Potato Starch ,Balsamic Vinegar ,Oregano ,Basil ,Salt ,Parsley ,Black Pepper

    This would be more than 1.5 syns - it has tomato juice, sugar, oil & potato starch in it - way more than the butternut one does & all syns.

    Totally agree - i would probably allow for about 3 syns to be on the safe side (will try work out more accurate (ish) figure now!)

    ETA:
    After looking at the syns i reckon 4 syns would be a little more accurate (for the whole tub)
    Assuming that the sugar, veg oil & garlic puree are about 1% of the soup each
    6ml/g for each (1% of 600ml) (ignoring the potato starch as no syn value available & ignoring tomato juice as 100ml = 1/2 syn)
    Sugar = 1 tsp (5ml) = 1 syn
    Veg Oil = 1 tsp (5ml) = 2 syn
    Garlic puree = 1 tsp (5ml) = 1 syn
    Total = 4 syns

    Make sense?

    OK great, thanks - 2 syns it is then as I'm only eating half of it, sorry that was what I meant when I said 1 syn. Not that it makes a difference with the dinner I have to eat tonight... :rotfl:

    Your plan for yesterday looked good frogga, but I notice that water has disappeared from the proforma completely.;)

    That's because Magic said I didn't have to drink it straight, she said I could have it as tea as I only have it black anyway :j so I didn't think I needed to tell you all how many cups of tea I was drinking :D you wouldn't believe me, it would be in three figures :eek:

    Looking forward to starting the 6 week countdown, glad so many of us want to do it together :beer:

    Well done with your email nessie :D Have you not had that baby yet? You've been pregnant for about 2 years haven't you? ;) I don't know about you, but I'm getting bored waiting for it :D

    Hi Catt, good luck with your 'now til xmas challenge' I'm in that too, just doing a mini one as well. I need to make room for the mount of food I plan on stuffing over the christmas holiday ;)

    Mr Frog is off all week and it struck me today how time obsessed I am when it comes to food. We'd been out all morning, and I was thinking constantly about having to get home for lunch. We didn't get in til 2 and then I was all stressed about tea being late because lunch was delayed. Silly really, Mr Frog just said we'd have a smaller lunch so as not to spoil dinner. I am pathetic.

    Oh dear!:( Where's that famous line frogga? Skintcatt's in need.

    Great news about the soups nessie and better still, congratulations on persisting and getting some sense out of SW. Don't you just hate those standard email responses full of patronising platitudes.

    Lillian, if it's a full English you're going for on Saturday it may not be too bad. And surely you can give your mum SW stuff if she's staying. I'm having hotel breakfast Friday to Sunday and I generally have fruit followed by lean bacon, baked beans, usually a fried egg and sometimes tomato and mushrooms. I try to avoid toast as they rarely have wholemeal and reckon on a few syns for oil. Much better than croissants or Danish and latte.:eek:

    Lunch was lovely and could have been worse synwise. My friend had made an effort and as it was such a beautiful day we had a really summery meal. Tomato and mozzarella starter, ham and poached salmon with leaves (undressed) main plus a few bean and pasta salads, fruit salad and ice cream pudding. I reckon a few syns there with some oil, ice cream (not too much), a tiny piece of garlic bread and whatever 'syrup' she'd used on the fruit salad. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm still feeling a bit full but I won't eat any more today. Oh I forgot wine syns.:o

    To be honest it wasn't much of a binge. You aren't as good at it as me :D I mean half a cheesecake? 2 biscuits? 2 Country slices? You are a bit of an amature. I could eat a whole cheesecake, 2 packets of biscuits and 2 boxes of Country Slices. I'm sorry to boast, but I'm a far better binger than you :D

    Now, there's your line. Enough already :beer:
