Congratulations Beanie for being nominated for WOTY. I always find it so difficult to choose who to nominate - there are always so many deserving people in the Group. The Group I go to is a big group - 50+ turn up for WI and around 30-35 stay!

Not really sure what day I'm having today as can't make up my mind what to have for lunch but think it will probably end up as an EE day.

B - porridge (HEB) made with water with a Mullerlight vanilla stirred through with chopped strawberries on top
L - not sure but maybe a ham salad
D - something with mince, if I decide to go with an EE day it'll be cottage pie, if I go for a Red day it will just be cooked mince with loads of veggies in it, new potatoes. Followed by a big bowl of strawberries.

Must buy some more fruit - only got strawberries (most of which will be used up today), a few grapes and a couple of bananas left.

Another 2lb loss this week which makes up for the half pound gain last week. Just 2lb to go to my first stone award but I don't think that'll be next week.

I'm off to North Wales for the weekend to stay with family who don't believe in dieting, or healthy eating come to that. It's all puddings, biscuits and cakes :o

Still, it's just 4 days out of 365 so I'm sure it won't do long-term damage, just delay the day I can wear one of my corsets to group to show them WHY I'm desperate to lose that weight. :D

    Have a good day folks!

Totally agree with that. That's why I love my Thursday WIs. I find it relatively easy to refuse biscuits and cakes as it's acceptable to just have a cup of tea/coffee in company. What's more difficult is to refuse puddings or meals when staying with family. It feels rude and critical refusing well-meant hospitality. Well done on your loss stitchy and enjoy your weekend.

Hopefully nothing will get in the way of my EE day today:

B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, baked beans, HEA milk
L: depends how hungry I feel, either a banana or LO veg I should have had yesterday.
D: sausages, mash, cabbage, carrots, peas, onions
Syns: gravy, 1 syn for sausages and then weekend wine!:j

I'm going easy on the HEA milk today. I know you're not supposed to carry over HEXs but if I have hot squash or black tea then it should help offset the xtra cheese I had yesterday. My reasoning is that it'll keep the week's fat content down overall.

Good loss mit. I'd say you might be a bit low on SFs today. It depends on how much fruit you snack on but when I have eggs or beans for breakfast I always have loads of SFs at suppertime to balance it off. Maybe your curry has loads of veg?

Sorry wiz but I don't do Green (except by accident;)) but it looks OK to me. I hadn't realised that fish could count as a HEB, I must look that up as we have it at least once a week and then I could have an extra HEA as well.

Not happy. Gained 1.5 lbs this week. OK I had a day out but it was planned and I ate very carefully for the week beforehand and made sure I had a couple of good bike rides.

I had scampi chips and salad that day for my lunch but no dessert and no alcohol (diet coke only) and when you see what some people in my group ate that day (scones with cream and jam, desserts, icecreams, candyfloss, sweets on coach, alcohol etc etc) it just doesn't seem fair.
  • it's horrible when that happens pennylane. Try and keep going .

I just ate a nectarine and I swear it was so so delicious I am wondering why I ever eat the c r a p I end up eating as it tasted better than any piece of chocolate I have ever had. I need to try and bear this in mind the next time I reach for the sweets

Well done Steph, Denise, Stitching witch and MIT - great losses! :j

Sorry to hear that you're disappointed Pennylane - how much more do you want to lose? IIRC it wasn't a huge amount was it?
