I'll have to get wholemeal bread in I thought it was ok :( We use skimmed milk instead of semi skimmed.

I might just have countrylife light butter instead on my toast.

I've swapped from curry to Youngs fisherman pie which is 6 syns I've calculated my syns for today it will be 10 1/2 syns which is better than yesterday.

I also did twice round the block this morning so that's two miles :)

    It's weigh in tomorrow :(

    Steph xx

That's much better than yesterday steph.:) You may be lucky and lose on your first week, just with a change of diet and being generally more careful Fingers crossed.;) I hope you're having plenty of veg with your fishermans pie. Peas/sweetcorn are syn free but don't count as suprefree (SF). You need something like carrots and green beans or broccoli to go with it. For SS milk you can have 350 mls. That's a lot for just cups of tea so you could have a little bit of cheese with it. Laughing Cow light triangles are 5 for a HEA. So you could replace 70 mls of milk with a laughing cow and have that on your toast. 'Light' butter is 1.5syns for a tsp.

That's my line. I'm over it. Move on Frogga :D

Steph, I totally understand how hard it is to grasp all the info.. It was easier for me as a veggie can have 2 x HEB and 2 x HEA everyday. You look like you need more free foods. Where is your free at brekfast? You can eat loads more than that matey?

Welcome Morgan  I enjoy a good poo discussion so you carry on.

Been doing alot of soul searching. I need to post on here to stay focused. And to remain accountable, you are right Maman. It's so easy for me to sulk, and feel sorry for myself. It's pathetic. I was 20st for heavens sake, I should be pleased with what I have managed to lose and focus on the last little push. Thanks for the kicking everyone :D

You have done brilliantly to get down from 20st. Even the fiasco this week isn't going to put more than a little dent in your overall loss.:D Now hop over that line!

I went to WI and gained 2.5lbs. I 'weighed and went' tonight, partly as don't really know anyone at this group and also if I'd stayed, supper would have been late and messed up our evening. That's 2.5 lbs over 3 weeks so not too bad considering all the flexi meals. I'm still within my target range but closer to the upper limit than I'd like. I think it's worth it for the socialising but not for the mindless bags of crisps. I'm away for a few days next weekend so in between I'm going to be really mindful.

Steph - how about posting your meal plan on here the day before you eat it - then maybe we can suggest tweaks to make it more SW friendly. I wouldn't waste my syns on spread/butter myself, but it's all personal choice. I'd rather fry up some mushrooms or heat some beans & have those on my toast instead!! :) I keep a bowl of salad in the fridge so I can just dig into that at lunch

Thanks for all the help ladies.

    Tomorrow for breakfast I'm thinking

B -2 wholemeal toast with heinz sugar and salt free baked beans
L - Wholemeal bread with tuna in brine & mixed fruit pot (melon, grapes, pineapple)
T - Chicken curry with boiled rice.

I'll be having skimmed milk in my tea. I've got weigh in tomorrow :(

We've got a taster morning tomorrow -Theme - al fresco foods.

Am going to make a syn free potato salad (syn free mayo recipe at end) and a crabstick & cucumber salad with a thai dressing (from the SW website). Just need to go out and buy a couple of things to make it all. Didn't buy yesterday when I done a top up shop as still hadn't decided what I was going to make!

Syn free mayo recipe - courtesy of Minimims:

    Syn Free Mayo
    Mix the following ingredients:

    1 egg yolk,
    2 tbsp white wine vinegar,
artificial sweetener to taste, salt/pepper &
2 tbsp very low fat natural fromage frais.

Blend well and chill - the longer you leave it in the fridge the thicker & nicer it gets.

Will just need to boil some new pots tonight and chop up and stir through tomorrow morning just before I leave.

Will also do the salad tonight and put in a box and make the dressing and put in a screw top bottle so I can add it just before we start eating.

    Denise

Thanks, I have just been onto the SW website to get the recipe for the crabstick salad - it sounds yummy :) That is going on the lunch list for next week

Steph - as long as your whole meal loaf is a 400g one then breakfast toast would be your HEB. Baked beans are only free not superfree, so you really need to have some fruit afterwards.

Lunchtime bread would need to be synned (3 syns). You'd be better having tuna with loads of salad, followed by the fruit pot.

Tea - as long as your curry has loads of veg in then that would be good.

You also need to have a few more syns - you should aim for at least 5 syns a days.

The syn free mayo doesn't seem to have worked! Will have another look later to see if it's thickening up!

Hi guys, I have got my books and the rep did a quick flick through the plan but I didn't fully understand :( I think I've been a bit better today.

B - 2 pieces of danish bread with a little peanut butter
L - A home made fruit pot (melon, grapes and pineapple)
T - Chicken curry with boiled rice

I've had a little milk for 3 cups of tea.

I hope I've been better than yesterday :)

    Steph xx

Hi Steph, I echo what everyone else has said on here, you need more food girl! The beautiful thing about SW is that you can fill up on free foods so the theory is you never go hungry. If you can't do without your bread, go for wholemeal as your HEB, ryvita are also classed as HEB so that is another option for you.

As you now have the books, I would suggest reading through the Super Free Foods, and making a list of the things you like to eat, fruits and veg, then you have your own personal list. There is so much information on there that is can be scary, but when you make it personal to you it isn't quite so bad. Good luck for your weigh in tomorrow, make sure you come back and tell us how you got on.

I will get looking through my book at the superfree food and stock up on them.

It would be easier if they had them on the website but couldn't find them
