Change of plan at lunchtime. Had a carrot & lentil soup instead of jacket potato & beans.

Yes, from what I can gather looking at SW,WW & Rosemary Connely.
I'm feeling really bloated today so I think my flexi meals/days are catching up with me. I never weigh at home but use my jeans as a guideline. Today they feel tight. I can feel my thighs and seem to have a muffin top if I don't stand up straight and breathe in.:( I might organise myself and go to a WI tonight (difficult to get to my usual group in the morning) just to help me keep on track.
Today's EE:
B: NAS Ribena, fried egg, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: finished of veggie frittatamini roast made with chicken portions, roast potatoes, caul, broccoli, carrots and cabbage. I'm going to have heaps of veg!
Syns: squirt of sauce, gravy
P.S. Frogga, selfishly I'd rather you didn't take a break but I'm sure coming on here and being 'accountable' is a better idea.0 -
Hi guys, I have got my books and the rep did a quick flick through the plan but I didn't fully understand
I think I've been a bit better today.
B - 2 pieces of danish bread with a little peanut butter
L - A home made fruit pot (melon, grapes and pineapple)
T - Chicken curry with boiled rice
I've had a little milk for 3 cups of tea.
I hope I've been better than yesterday

Hi Steph
You can eat WAY more than that on SW! You need to make sure you're getting your HEA (ie milk, cheese etc) and HEB (nuts, bread, oats, meat) otherwise you will be missing out on nutrients. If I were you, I would have had the fruit pot alongside my toast and peanut butter, then had a lovely veggie and cheese (HEA) omelette for lunch with a salad. Your dinner is fine but you need to remember to add lots of salad or veg to it too. And don't forget your syns.
Just remember not to starve yourself as you will give up. You can eat A LOT - just make sure you're eating the right food. Here's my plan again for today:
Breakfast: Hard boiled egg, then melon, plum and grape fruit salad. Skinny primo capp from Costa (HEA 1), 35g porridge oats (HEB 1) made up with water and blueberries
Morning snack: Peach, apple.
Lunch: Quinoa salad (with lettuce, broccoli, tomato, peppers and peas added), no dressing.
Post gym: 10 x almonds (HEB 2)
Afternoon snack: Ryvita crackerbread x3 (not high fibre so 3 syns) and v low fat cottage cheese. Sugar snap peas.
Dinner: Veggie chilli (frylight for onions and mushrooms) and brown rice.
Pudding: Fat free yoghurt, strawberries
Evening snack: Rocky Chocka toffee choc biscuit (4 syns)
I'm also now considering a packet of crisps (95 cal so 5 syns) because I can! Will probably also have my 28g of cheese tonight as my HEA 2. Good luckMy debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

It is a lot to take in on the first night. You'll soon get the hang of it and if there are more new people any week at class then you can always sit in on the introductory talk as often as you like.
Today's menu does look much better but it does look a bit mean, especially for lunch and breakfast.
AFAIK the Weightwatchers White Danish isn't a HEB. It's 2.5 syns a slice. I find it much safer to stick with wholemeal.
Peanut butter is 4.5 syns a tbsp. but you probably didn't have that much. If you like Marmite, that's free.
So your fruit pot and your toast together are balanced OK for SFs. For your dinner, you may have put loads of veg in the curry so it's hard to comment on that. if it contains say tomatoes, peppers, onions then you might just get away with it. Your plate of food should be a third SF. If it's not a HM SW curry recipe then it will contain syns (about 7.5 for a reduced fat ready meal and loads more in a restaurant).
I'm getting the syn values from the website. Do you have access yet?
You can have 250 mls of SS milk so plenty left there.0 -

I don't like to mention this when I'm being weighed but last week I was hideously constipated and my weight had stayed the same tho I know I had been eating a much better diet (on EE) Does anyone else have the same problem ? After I had 'been' I weighed myself and had lost 4 lbs ! have resolved never to get that constipated again, but no one ever talk about this and it made a big difference
Welcome to the thread. You've come to the right place because no-one's embarrassed to talk about poo here! :rotfl: It definitely can make a difference, and I'm sure you'll see a loss this week. Good luck for the op - I'm sure you'll find weight loss makes it easier and less painful to get around - I have with my dodgy knees and so as my mum after her knee replacement last year.lilian1977 wrote: »Thanks so much, I googled but to no avail! That's brilliant news. Can't find any info on whether it's free on SW though, do you know? I would assume not as it has sugar rather than sweeteners and is 20 cal per 100ml. I guess I could syn it along with the gin... xx
Don't know about the tonic, sorry, but I like vodka, lime and soda - pub lime squash has sugar in and the sugar free stuff I have at home has sweeteners (I'm not bothered about aspartame) but a squeeze of fresh lime is nice instead. No idea if it'd work with gin, can't stand the stuff, but it might be fun to experiment!Skint_Catt wrote: »If anyone's free tonight there's a documentary on BBC2 at 9pm called Welcome to the World of Weight Loss - might be interesting watching! xx

I'll have to get wholemeal bread in I thought it was okWe use skimmed milk instead of semi skimmed.
I might just have countrylife light butter instead on my toast.
I've swapped from curry to Youngs fisherman pie which is 6 syns I've calculated my syns for today it will be 10 1/2 syns which is better than yesterday.
I also did twice round the block this morning so that's two miles
It's weigh in tomorrow

That's my line. I'm over it. Move on Frogga
Steph, I totally understand how hard it is to grasp all the info.. It was easier for me as a veggie can have 2 x HEB and 2 x HEA everyday. You look like you need more free foods. Where is your free at brekfast? You can eat loads more than that matey?
Welcome Morgan  I enjoy a good poo discussion so you carry on.
Been doing alot of soul searching. I need to post on here to stay focused. And to remain accountable, you are right Maman. It's so easy for me to sulk, and feel sorry for myself. It's pathetic. I was 20st for heavens sake, I should be pleased with what I have managed to lose and focus on the last little push. Thanks for the kicking everyoneSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Just wanted to share this for anyone who doesn't go to group or pay for membership, and especially for newbies - if you search inside this book on Amazon you get a hell of a lot of the blurb about SW, green days, original days, Healthy Extras and syns, just none of the recipes:
