Morning Campers Hi De Hi :j

I was thinking last night of another trick I've used in the past that has helped well....

I like to 'be good' along side a TV series. Let me explain. I'd see that a new series of such and such was starting, and it was going to be on for 6 weeks, and then I'd tell myself I only had to 'be good' for the duration of the series. If it's one you like, it's amazing how quickly each episode comes round again, and then you can 'tick off another week'.

The Great British Bake Off starts on Tuesday. I love that programme, and it will be on for about 10 weeks I expect. It will shock you how quickly tuesdays come around, and one by one they eliminate the contestants, and before you know it, it's way into Autumn and weeks have passed. Also, Downton Abbey is being repeated on ITV3 every evening at tea time starting on monday. They are starting at the beginning and going through the whole 3 series, one episode every day. It will really help me to get through the days and weeks if I'm good along side the episodes.

I hope you understand what I'm on about by all of that? It's an odd thing to do, but all I can say is it really helped me before. I've lost loads with this method as you just have to get to the next episode. I know I know I'm a bit odd ;)

Have a good day humans :D

    Hi Frogga

No not at all I think it's a cracking idea particularly she you pick something finite like as you said great british bake off etc:T

No I don't think it's. bit odd or if it is then I'm odd too
It works for you I think I will try it as well with same programme may e en try with celebrity masterchef that I'm watching at moment

I think it's like the whole work setting objectives thing where people say they must be
    SMART

    Specific
    Measurable
    Achievable
    Realistic
    Tangible

You have just set some smart objectives nice one Frogga I'm going to do the same
It's at a time like this I wish I was an avid corrie or eastenders fan :rotfl:

Have a fantastic day Frogga and all the rest of the gang:grouphug:

I could not have Nutella in the house otherwise my finger (or a teaspoon) would be permanently embedded :o

What I tend to do is have a little dab just to satisfy the chocolate taste. I then think 'just a wee bit more'...then I think 'sod it, I'll take to however far my finger can go'. Bang goes the syns :-/ It's the same reason I won't buy peanut butter, I'd sit with the spoon and eat the jar then!
  • Now I quite like Tania- why have you done that to me?!? Lol. I'll have to get T25 to watch her struggle and make me feel better about being a sweaty, terrible mess! I've been thinking about T25... maybe after insanity. I just don't know what's best to aim for- healthy diet, very slow weight loss and fit body (&mind) or just aim for what the medics want- a lower weight. Gah. I think I will lose weight with insanity eventually...

I saw an infomercial for one this morning called 'slim in 6'...6wk workout which promotes weight loss and toning instead of bulking up. The good thing about it was that it told you how many rounds the girls did to achieve their look. With the Insanity before and after pics there is no way people have done that with 1 60 day round. If you look into it more they've either done a few rounds or they combine it with P90X (another high intensity workout). I was deflated to find I wasn't gaining hard core abs (whilst still having takeaways and scoffing wine lol). I'm checking out the slim in 6 on amazon just now to see if it's any good or I might try 3 sessions of Insanity a week rather than 6 days. Like I said, I'm full of good motivation while sitting at my laptop with my coffee lol

I like you're thinking as it's short term goals which seem more achievable. Gonna give it a try...need to find myself a new series to watch :)

Yes that's it. It's undoable with EastEnders or Corrie as they never end, but a six weeker or a four parter has an end insight :D

I get what you are saying frogga, back when Big Brother started over 60 days I said to myself why don't I do the walking/running exercise on my Wii whilst I watch the show, you are totally oblivious to doing any exercise but by the time it is over you have walked for an hour everyday for close to 9 weeks. I didn't obviously do it because I was too much of a lazy git back then. However, Celebrity BB starts on Thursday so I can adopt this strategy then, its only for 3 weeks so is not as ambitious.

I really don't think I could do it watching something like the Great British Bake Off, I'd be running to the kitchen every 10mins in search of cakes or biscuits!

I've just had my shopping delivered and currently have SW green masala curry simmering on the stove. I love a curry and this is the first one I have made from SW - it smells devine so I'm hoping it turns out ok!

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the day and stays on plan!
  • Just popping in to say well done and good luck to those at the end or at the beginning of their journey's! I am at the end of mine, took me about 13/14 months to do it. It isn't easy but its really worth it!

    Hi all

Just had dinner chicken pieces that were tossed in blackened Cajun seasoning

    Mother of divide god:eek:

Frogga I have finally found a way to drink water when this hit the back of your throat you want a hose

Lunch was a pitta with a can of tuna half an onion

Breakfast weetabix times two no scan bran today

Anyway went to costco today it really is fabulous but as there only. 2 of us and everything that goes in the outside freezer never again resurfaces it tends to be more for bits and pieces

They have brilliant value smoked haddock and cod loin there fresh pieces at no comparison to supermarket and an 825g jar of ovtine options for about 5.25

That's a big saving -and the are offers on passata and other slimming world stuff too so well worth a mooch those of you with cards

Nearly came to blows with OH when in there as I always have an ice cream when in there and although I know I should not still did not appreciate him saying you don't need it he was trying to help poor thing :p

I did not have one though and am glad now

Nope everyone had a great day onwards and downwards
