What's complicated in interpreting a question properly.. The OP is referring to how to get a physical CD, or a physical DVD, into a form that can be loaded onto the tablet

My job is about figuring out what customers need before they do.. the OP said:

Now, anyone who could figure out how to rip music and movies will most likely be technically capable, and able to figure out how to drag and drop a file onto a tablet over USB

The OP doesn't have to say anything about file formats since they are unlikely to know what they are. They just want film/music content on their device

nothing is complicated about that. have done it many times before. just never converted to mp3 format to load onto another device.
