I think the design looks worse than it is because it is on a peachy coloured fabric, not sure what colour I will do it on yet but I will have a look and see what I fancy
Willow Fabrics have some fabrics on sale at the moment including some peachy coloured linen and some 16ct aida in "decorative rose" which might work for it. The sale prices are very good and the quality is excellent
I've used Cross Stitch Heaven a few times for fabric and for threads - prices are very good and delivery is ok when they have the items in stock
Sorry to hear you're not well but the " silver lining" is that you can put the time to good use by stitching. Love the design and it will be a real heirloom0 -
Wow - that's some challenge :T:T Sorry to hear you're off work though
My recommendations for fabric and thread:
For speed: Sew and So
For price: Cross Stitch Heaven
Quality is equally good.
Santa stop here looks great btw :j
After looking at all the sites, I decided to go with Cross Stitch Heaven. I needed to speak with someone about the colour fabric and the lady was really helpful so ordered £25 worth of material and threads from there! I did however, find some lovely hearts with 'made with love' written on them so I bought a pack of 5 as they will be lovely to attach to gifts for people :j0 -

Which design do you have in your stash? I've stitched quite a few L&L charts over the years and apart from the ones that have lots of beads and metallics I found that they stitched up quite quickly (for large designs) and they don't have much backstitch usually. IMHO the results are worth the effort0 -

It's the Secret Santa Chart, looks lovely but still can't find the enthusiasm to start it!

I have tonnnns of cards in my stash now (well over 100)
- I will take a pic next time I'm in the box. Not all cross stitched though, but they are mostly handmade.
Organised is good....right....?:o:o
(MP is at the front to remind me to look for a frame....no one is getting that one)

Well I can say that that is a lovely one to stitch as I am currently doing it. Very little half-stitch etc and I do 'enjoy' the wording (when I get that far) as you can actually read it as you go along!
Would post a pic but I haven't stitched this in any order and dodge about all over so you really can't tell what I've done.
Have tried setting a challenge with my sister to try and finish this pic by Christmas before she finishes her x-stitch. Then again we said that last year!!
Hi to everyone and hugs for those who need one.
Keep on stitching!

Whoever invented Mondays? :rotfl:
Louise, your box of stitchy cards is fab! And I love the Michael Powell kit at the front. :T
I'm stitching some xmas gift tags at the moment which are stitching up quickly but the MP design has been added to my to do list !
I haven't started any of the small kits I bought last week either but they are on my to do list too!0 -
Hi,m.o.s,
Mines called oh,Christmas tree(lavender and lace) and like you can't get going.it was to match the Father Christmas I did called the spirit of Christmas which was lovely.i think I got fed up with stitching a lot of different reds, looked at the tree and thought all that green and put in my sewing box.
The second little dinosaur is coming on really well, green with red spots and a goofy grin!
Louis,
Very impressed,very organised.what is mp?cant see it very well0 -

That looks beautiful, if only we could find the inspiration! Like you, it's the various red changes that are putting me off :rotfl:0
