    Hi everyone,

MOS - that looks fab, I love the blue aida, makes a change from the usual white/cream. NEVER too early to mention the C word :p

C&S - love the HAED you have chosen. Looking forward to seeing pics when you have started it.

I did some more flower shop last night. I ask you...how many different greens can you get - pale green, green, light yellow green, yellow green - and then the combination of 1 strand of this, 2 of that to make a blend. Honestly makes my head want to pop off and roll around the living room floor.

Anyway, I will wait a few more days before I post another picture, otherwise you won't be able to see what I've done :rotfl:

    Have a good day

My head has popped off just thinking about it! Will be so worth it though, it's beautiful!

Reminds me of BD, I have several shades of same colour, like Shell Gray LT, MD & DK, Beaver Gray LT, MD, DK & VY DK, Gray Green LT, DK & VY DK, etc. I'm glad they have dmc numbers could you imagine sorting that lot out :rotfl:

Coffeeandstitches, what a beautiful HAED you've chosen :) will you be stitching it on evenweave or aida?

Sorry I haven't really been around much over the last week as other things have just taken over and left no time for stitching or laptop :(. Just had a very quick look through the posts I have missed.

    Great pics everyone :T

Congratulations sweetcarer on your medals at the show.

Sad to hear that ATS will be no longer.

Thanks for the pointer fos re the mags offer - I thought I would have 3 x Crazy then it dawned on me that today is 17th and offer finished on the 15th. That'll teach me to keep up to date with posts.

My Sleeping Beauty pic which is huge was 'backstitch free' too (well except for her eyelid) :D

Welcome to our new members - looking forward to seeing your pics.

I have changed my phone and it is supposed to have a bit better camera than my old one. Its just a really basic smartphone so as soon as I get the hang of it and a spare few minutes I will take a pic of 12 Days of the completed cross stitch (not made up yet).

Doesn't look as though I am going to have much free time over the next few weeks but I will pop in whenever I can to see what you are all up to.

    Take care everyone

  • I haven't done any stitching for nearly a week now as waiting on the rest of my threads coming from ATS. There was a note in with my parcel saying 'to follow' and they said on Facebook that all orders would be fulfilled so I hope that is the case, just wish they would hurry up as the colours I don't have yet are the one's I need first lol!

I may have to start one of the larger kits that I have but I wanted to do this small sampler first to get a bit more experience before starting on the larger kits.

I'll give it until the end of the week before I look the other kits out.

b_e_g, was Sleeping Beauty a kit? She was really beautiful. I am so envious of everyone's work on here and hopefully one day I will be that good and can attempt a large project like that and nmm's BD and Coxy's flower shop to name a few.

Although I'm not posting much, I love checking in on this thread everyday to see everyone's progress.

Hi all - not been on the forum in a while, never seem to get any further than facebook and online banking when I get online!

Some lovely stitching going on :T
Coffeeandstitches that HAED design is beautiful. I have completed 2 and have a third which is *almost* finished. The amount of time they take depends on how big it is and how long you have to stitch every day. My first one was 3ftx2ft and took me 9 months, stitching a couple of hours every day.
They are fairly simple to stitch though, just concentrate on one page at a time and it comes together.

I haven't been doing any large pieces lately, but I have done LOADS of card designs, and got loads made up as well. :D

Really disappointed that ATS is closing down :( I never had any problems with them. Now and then a thread was out of stock but it was always sent on soon enough. I will resort to Cross Stitch Heaven (39p each for DMC) but unfortunately delivery can take a fortnight.
