Flat Eric - pleased you found your material. Can't stand the thought of starting a piece all over.

    TBx

Yes I was so cross yesterday, I was on the verge of buying replacement material and starting again ! I had looked at the chart I had marked off and realised I hadn't stitched the whole heart and worked out I had probably spent more time looking for the material yesterday than actually stitching it !!
    afternoon all

Has anyone seen the new Margaret Sherry xmas chart design that is now for sale on her website. It looks amazing! although I think I would go slightly dotty tackling all that backstitch!
  • The cut thru series are fabulous. Chickywiggle who started this group did one. It might have been the pirate ship. There are some photos in our flickr group of her wip tho i couldn't see the finished piece. Really worth the effort. I also love their Dictionary series
Photo stitches are wonderful but again a lot of work
Perhaps you should choose the easiest of your 3 kits for your next project :D
Looking forward to seeing progress photos:)

    Might be an idea! :rotfl:

The photo stitch one is going to be my favourite i think as my mums parents were the best grandparents i could have ever had and i still miss them every day.

I've just found the missing material........

Yeah!!!! I try to keep all my stuff together I am working on - just now I have 3 in my rotation but the cat has a habit of sitting on it so hubby has to move it and I can't find it. But he is learning how to put it where I can find it.

Oh no just read on ATS facebook page that they are closing down clicky :(

So very sad - not only good prices for DMC but Anchor for those rare projects I do in Anchor.

Good luck with it all. Cross stitch helps so much - hubby says I go into a bubble not be disturbed by anyone and I manage to lock all out around me when doing it - so no time to think of other stuff - quite relaxing except when frog visits!

Thought I share my latest update on my winter sampler.

    100_08721_zpsef1ec36c.jpg

Had to take a break on it - as I have an emergency wedding sampler to do - someone at work - didn't know till day after wedding and she is back from honey moon later this week so want to have it done for her getting back.

Also I had a massive frog attack on my learning sampler which ended up me unpicking it all :(. While doing satin stitch I was meant to do 5 lines ever 4 spaces but I done it other way round - doh!

Keep well everyone - till next week if not before.

    sweetcarer ;)

Hello - not posted here before as I did not realise it existed! I just love xstitch!

Anyone done the Dimensions 'galloping horses' kit? I am so frustrated as I keep running out of one of the greens, and I have to get more sent from America - when it arrives there just isn't enough!

I tried using their conversion chart and using a similar colour from DMC but that is a disaster, completely different - I will have to unstitch quite a bit :(

Given up on it for the time being and almost finished the Dimensions 'brilliant butterfly celebration' - so much easier!

Just got an order form from Bothy Threads Autumn sale, think I will try one of those kits next - any other sales around?

i got that letter its quite god, first kit full price every other one you order is half price. if youre ordering more than one you only pay full price for the dearest one.

hope everyone had a good stitchy weekend.

sorry to hear you had some unpicking to do sweetcarer

I was a bit miffed yesterday. I popped into $miths to have a browse of the stitchy mags - there were quite a few special mags on the shelves but sadly they just seemed to be a re-hash of what has been published before. I was sorely tempted by the £7.99 xmas special that comes with thread, card mounts, ribbons and buttons until I had a nose in the mag and realised most of the designs I had seen before.

I'm also frustrated as was browsing e^ay yesterday (looking for small xmas kits - similar to what I had seen in h0bby8raft the other week). I spotted a few kits I liked but then spotted the listings were for chart only or chart only / leftover thread. Hmmm. Pft. etc

Yes thinking of ordering about 10, I love having a stash to stitch or give as presents!
I did the Both Threads Animal Alphabet once, easy and fun!
