    For your stall?

Do you mean kits to stitch for children or kits designed for children to stitch themselves (or with help)?

  • Hi,everyone.
nmm--BD is going to be fantastic,it's growing really quickly, the little dinosaurs are so cute I love them,so brightly coloured, the one i'am doing is green with pink spots!brilliant!
    Ayeshalush--
I use hoops for most of my wip but for the larger kits I use craft frames,I've got two, square and oblong sizes and they are really useful.
    Winnethepooh--
I love the sampler, I love doing them, they are so simple in design but look so rich when done.
On holiday this week to Norfolk,so planning to do absolutely nothing but
Stitch dinosaurs on the beach, weather permitting.
Husband and dog going for long walks, while I do my dinosaurs and drink coffee, bliss!o
    Have a good week.

    Hi ladies.

mrsmp. Look forward to seeing update on Tiger cub.

luckycat. The Mr & Mrs looks good, look forward to seeing the finished piece.

I would like to ask you all a favour if you don't mind.
What do you mostly buy from xs websites, is it kits, aida, threads, other essentials. Apart from kits I don't know what else to stock

Everything! I rarely buy cross stitch stuff from highstreet shops as the net is usually cheaper.
I'd use the highstreet if I had to have something that day, such as running out of thread and time wasn't on my side but 99% of my stash is bought online.
Having said that I intend to get the beads I want from HC. They sell pots for 99p (once you add p+p the net can't compete at that price) and I can make sure I get the right size.

Ayeshalush. Hi and welcome! Ask as many questions as you need to. We all started somewhere and you don't know if you don't ask :D
Personally I use an 'easy clip rotating frame and stand' for my stitching. I don't know how I managed without it and now I wouldn't be without it!

beg. XFactor fan here too! Only watched Saturday nights episode so far and already loving Sharon being back! I also enjoy looking at Gary, very much ;)

JCS. Framed map looks really good.

mos. MotoGP fan here too! Did you see the race? I can't believe Marquez not only raced and finished but battled hard for the win too!

Sweetcarer. I adore the Winter sampler, it's beautiful already.

    nmm. Nice update on BD.

As for me. As previously mentioned I haven't done a stitch in over 2 weeks as hubby has been here and we have been busy in the garden.
That's all done now and hubby is back at work so I can get back to stitching once my jobs are all caught up, haven't done any housework or washing in 2 weeks!
There's only 2 of us so it's not as bad as it sounds.....I promise :rotfl:
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

  • Ayeshalush - welcome to the Cafe :hello:. Re: mags - I have tried a few different mags and always seem to go back to World of Cross Stitching. Here is a linky to enable you to get 5 issues for £5 which is pretty good. Yes dont forget we love pics - we're a right nosey bunch :D

Thanks b_e_g for the welcome and the mag link :D. THat's the mag that I bought on Friday and I quite liked it so I'm going to sign up for that offer.

Have made a start on the free gift xmas card that came with WOCS I bought. Din't get to spend as much time on it at the weekend as I hoped, but so far I am making a much better job of keeping the back tidy (if I do say so myslef lol:o).

I'm desperate to get started on a bigger project, but have to be sensible and practice on a couple of small one's first.

I love seeing the pics of everyone's progress and completed item. You are all very talented ladies.

Ayeshalush, welcome :) some people use a hoop, others like *louise* and myself use R&R craft frames mine is a standard square one clicky and *louise* uses a lap version clicky

Thanks for the welcome nmm and the links for craft frames. I quite like the idea of a lap frame but will do a bit more stitching first so I can get a better idea of what i actually want / need.

I can't wait to se BD when its finished. It's going to be stunning!

Thanks Mrs ceejay. My friend has a hoop that used to belong to her mum, so I'll have a go with that first before I splash out on a craft frame. I do fancy a craft frame but I'm trying to be sensible and not jump and spend lots of money before I know exactly what I want/need.
