  • Happy Tuesday everyone

magscat Just spent an enjoyable 1 mins admiring all the work in the Flickr group. Some of the photos are from last year's Christmas card exchange - I wonder if we will do another one this year?

luckycat I love the Historical Sampler designs as well - that's probably why I thought I recognised your piece

mrsmp I'm hoping to finish Stitcher's 12 by Christmas. It is my 10 11 12 to 11 12 13 project so I divided it into sections to be stitched each month and in spite of another wedding on Saturday I managed to finish August's section (Four Hours free to stitch) and make a start on September's (Three Stitching Frames) so I am back on track. Your tiger cub is so cute - he will make a lovely cushion or bag panel. You are so right about not being enough hours in the day.

jcs Love your Staffordshire map - the framing really sets it off well. I don't want to think about how old some of my unframed pieces are........

During my hols I took in some pieces to be framed that were finished a long time ago (though probably later than 1997). I've taken photos but not yet uploaded them

moments how frustrating. And isn't it annoying that unpicking takes longer than the original stitching

sweetcarer Love your winter sampler and you are making really great progress

nmm great progress on BD. Bobbins storage should save you lots of time (to spend on BD obviously)
  • I've started on my new cross stitch - a Mario pattern for my younger brother who is gaming mag. Other crafty stuff has got in the way today though. I have made candy cane initials from Fimo for tree decorations, a glasses case for my dad out of some material i got in a craft subscription box, and made the tooth fairy pattern into a cushion.

Off topic and not very mse, i managed to find something yesterday i have wanted since i was a little girl - a writing bureau. It's going to need some work as someone painted it with emulsion and i want to strip it back and varnish it, but i'm so glad i found it.

Your tiger is great. What is the frame you are using. I have used hoops when stitching, but I don't like the creases it leaves in the material. This doesn't look like it would cause the same problem. I have a big floor standing frame, but it is too big for some projects.

    Hi everyone,

Managed to stitch a little more of the French Flower Shop last night. VERY slow progress but slowly slowly catchy monkey as they say. Won't post a pic until I've done a bit more :p

Loving all the updates - very cute tiger cub and the sampler is gorgeous :D

I have taken a subscription to cross stitch crazy - thank you to whoever posted about the £5 subscription :money:

I'm off work on Thursday and Friday, and the children are back at school. I have told DH that I will be doing housework but don't suppose he will notice either way ;) I can feel a marathon stitching session coming on :D

    Hi all,
Just wanted to post and say I'm still around. Just feeling a bit down and antisocial right now. Not done any stitching in months and haven't been reading the thread, but I will catch up when I'm feeling better.
    Thanks for understanding.

  • ruthhoneyhope you will soon feel more like your usual self; thanks for popping in

I still haven't taken a progress photo of 12 Days but do have this which is Spring Queen by Mirabilia which I finally had framed last month. I stitched 5 of the Queens but this is only the 2nd one I have had framed. Bringing it home then involved a big moving session as my walls are so full of pictures :D

    Stunning!

Every picture posted has me wanting to go and buy similar kits, but I must be sensible and stitch what I have first!
