Hi all,
Managed a couple of quiet cross stitch hours yesterdayHave completed the majority of the flower shop so just some flowers/greenery and the boring brickwork to do (plus the dreaded back stitch!)
Noticed last night that I need to unpick some more stitches as they are one square too far over. This is the 4th time I have had to do this. I am an avid stitcher but this design is so blooming difficult with its half cross stitches - you do two stitches then with the same colour have to count up 3 over 6 etc. driving me bonkers  DH actually said "just burn it" last night, but when he looked at how far I've come he just said "wow"!
Cleaning the bathrooms today then more stitching later. Out for dinner tonight then working tomorrow so have to snatch some time where I can
Coxy
You're getting there Coxy. It'll be finished before you know it. All your pain will be worth it as it's going to be lovely when finished.
I had to do a few half stitches, the other night, for the first time and I wasn't too keen! In fact I'm just going to check online that I actually did them properly. I did check online how to do them but I'm not convinced it was right as I only looked at one website.
Placed my order for aida and threads for the mini sampler. I can't believe the differnce in the price of threads between different sites. Purchased from one of the ones listed in the first post on this thread (thank you) for a very reasonable (I think) price.

well done on sticking with it.Ayeshalush wrote: »You're getting there Coxy. It'll be finished before you know it. All your pain will be worth it as it's going to be lovely when finished.
Thank you both. I managed to do some more stitching today and you're right, once it's completed I will be so happy I persevered. DH was only joking but he will be laughing on the other side of his face when it's framed and on the lounge wall mwahahahaha :rotfl:

Hello ladies, very wet and cold here today - down to around 10 degrees.
Still no stitching done here - hoping to get it out over the weekend.
Welcome back into the Cafe willow :hello:
Pleased to hear that you are sticking with Flower Shop Coxy. The pics so far have been beautiful. Keep at it - it will be worth it.
Take care everyone

Hi,everyone,
Back off holiday, had a good time sat on beach with pooch, sewing like mad,one half of dinosaur done, all shades of green with red spots, next one is all shades of blue with bright pink scales,so cute!
But why does the cotton insist on tangling up and knotting some days and not on others, more mistakes yesterday and had to take em out, drives me mad!
Trying to catch up with washing, reading all your postings, not getting very far,all pictures are great, not sure if I can post pictures yet.0 -
Mrs ceejay - your holiday sounds wonderful. Looking forward to seeing your dinosaurs. I would have thought you should be able to post pics now - why not give it a try.
Done a little bit of backstitch on 12 days - still seems to be loads to do.
WOCS arrived today - free gifts are Fizzy Moon 2014 calendar (still have 2012 and 2013 lying untouched) and a little chart of The Snowman (quite like this). Just had a quick lookie through mag, has tons of xmas stuff in it but I don't think I found too much that jumped out and grabbed my attention.
Hope you all manage some stitchy time this weekend. We are just getting some sunshine here now - so much better than all the rain yesterday. Mind you, I've just had a soak in the bath as I felt so cold.
Take care everyone
