  • Afternoon All, lovely updates and thank you for the link to the Christmas Advent.

I have done some of my Highland Cows over the weekend but won't get a lot done today as my Border Collie is poorly again and he has fallen asleep in my chair, he has been so poorly this year I don't want to disturb him! :rotfl:

    Hi everyone,

nmm and mos - great updates, thanks for sharing. mos - your dog is gorgeous xx

I haven't managed anything crafty lately :( I'm doing another craft fayre with my Mum on Saturday. At the last one I sold 6 stitched cards, but haven't even had the time to re-stitch those, let alone any others. My Mum has been beavering away (luckily) and has lots of stock, so at least she will fill the table!!

Work is extremely busy and this week I am helping to run a 3 day messy church for 47 children. It was day one today and I'm shattered. Tomorrow I need to drop my Dad at the airport at 6.30am then go in for day two of the club. Not sure how I'm going to feel by Thursday afternoon, but I do know that I'm going to be drinking wine in the evening - guaranteed.

Hope to choose a card design for the Christmas exchange at the weekend. Very happy to be participating again and massive thanks to fos for agreeing to be the lead on this.

    Have a good evening all.

i am looking for a used tapestry stand that will take a width of fabric 38" wide. i have seen them in 36 and 40" which will both be fine , i am sure folding an inch of fabric under each side will work okay, if someone has one to sell please let me know. i am keeping an eye on gumtree and ebay, but people list with the actual width of the whole thing, i have had to send so many emails to get the roller bar width, and then people want collection only. hoping it is okay to put this here, if not please let me know and i will remove. though if anyone has a coupon code for discount at siesta frames maybe i could afford a new one!!!
i have 4 pieces on golden kite gallery under ajdstitch

  • Morning All,

Naughty dog is now feeling better, if he stopped 'stealing' things he shouldn't eat he might not feel so unwell....I can't take my eyes off him for 2 minutes, it's like having a very naughty toddler! :rotfl:

We only have 1 local shop that sells DMC threads and I ran out of a particular colour so drove over on Sunday to find the shop shut and when I went back on Monday they had run out so I have had to order some off line. We have a local Hobbycraft store but they only stock Anchor threads.

I am still not convinced I like the Highland Cows but the Daughter I am doing it for is pleased with it. Can't wait to get it finished though and move onto something I will enjoy doing, maybe something Christmassy :D
  • Sometime over the weekend I will be sending the details of the person you will be stitching for - Christmas card or small ornament.

It's not too late if anyone else wants to join in - just send me a PM with your details.

With the recent change in the weather it seems appropriate to be starting to think about what I am going to stitch - I love the planning almost as much as the stitching. Is anyone else like that?

Love the latest updates in our Flickr group

I've already started my exchange stitch, I'm full of the cold and wanted to do something to cheer myself up, don't worry i'll wash it before I send it, haha.
